Performance update:

Month to date and YTD results ended February 14:

Most of the time, I usually up over +500 pips in the middle of the month, but I cannot sustain the momentum towards the end of the month. Hopefully, this month will be the beginning of a more sustainable growth.

I provided the myfxbook links to verify consistency of both reports (Trade explorer and Myfxbook)

MTD: +7.08%
YTD: +7.04%
Since inception: +141.19%

Pips gained:
MTD: +532
YTD: +875

Moderate Turtle Myfxbook

February 21st performance update:

All accounts ended negative for the week ended February 21st, but still positive MTD and YTD.

February performance update:

The month of February ended with a modest gain, but well below my target. The first two weeks saw gain over +600 pips only to be erased during the last two weeks and reduced it to only +300 pips at the end of February.

Total deposit from my own money deposited in this trading account is $443.34. The additional deposits of $135.16 and $125 are my savings from smoking and coffee from the previous month.

Plan for the month of march starting March 9th:

Pairs to trade:
GBPJPY
GBPAUD
EURAUD

Risk per trade:
Max of 2%, but a minimum of 2 micro lots

I think you should have a target per month and once that is reached you stop.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no. I trade when my system says trade. I ONLY stopped trading if my set DD for the month is breached. My monthly budgeted DD is 1,000 pips.

youre doing better than 99.5% of the guys here on ff.com...so there must be something good in the way you are trading ..

anyway, you and tafa are two in my short list of favourites here, because you have the balls to trade your systems with good and bad days, but in full disclosure, with live TE linked.

Position sizing changes:

If equity is above $750, I will trade 4 micro lots as long as risk will not exceed 3%. Position size for equity below $750 is a maximum 3 micro lots.

Equity is recovering slowly, but stagnant for almost 3 months now.

As you have noticed, GJ has been ranging for the last 9 days between 1.6775 and 1.6970. My strategy will not work well in a range of this tight. However, I will trade my strategy through thick and thin because I know when it trends again, it will recover my loses easily. The trick is to make sure that I trade every signal when it appears and make sure that my equity can handle the DD.

I used to trade like what you are saying until someone said to me
“The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.”
and
"The market doesn't care nor does it know of your system" .
I realized that I needed to change before my account was blown out .I started to weed out "Bad" signals from my system , I started to have an opinion about the market and I started to trade only those signals which were in line with my opinion about the market .

That's why my risk management will save the day. If I trade the way you trade before (revenge trading with insane lot size), i would have been wiped out by now.

You are right!

And, if you stop or modify constantly your system (as suggested) how do you know it can work in the long run ?

I think that you are doing a good job, I hope your patience will be rewarded.

You responses suggest to me that you are not the sort of person to get advice from anyone , anyway , Good luck mate , hope you will make it in this tough business.I am not sure how if you don't learn from others as well as from your own experience

You should be able to be flexible and adjust your system when you see that it doesn't work in certain situations , you can't just be rigid.thats what I have done and my flexibility is paying off .We will see in the long run whether I was right or not

by that time you will grow this account to 1.000.000 $ (as per the thread name )....so you will not need any advice

The account ended negative for the month of March, but the loss is very minimal. The last 3 trading days of the month won over +300 pips that recovered most of the loses from the previous days.

Risk management for April.

2 positions will be taken for GJ trades, but I will only trade 2 micro lots per trade.

TP will vary from 50 TP 250 pips.
SL will vary from 15 to 75 pips.
