Supply and demand? Value? How does this trade balance reflect on value of their currency? So far not much has happened. Now against an aud cross I think we will see a good correction.

Even in light of Chinese 'slowdown'. Fonterra raising prices, some good data. Imports m/m didnt change at all, exports grew nicely though.

I think we will at least reach april 2013 high, probably passing 0.87
Carry traders are there and will not close their positions in the near term I believe
With the trading balance high above prediction, I'm guessing importers will demand more NZD

Nice performance NZD! I'm going to buy anchor butter later

agreed. its going to stop soon. nothing can run continuously week after week. at least if not down, sideways like JPY is doing.

2008 didn't have expected GDP,growth and interest rate hikes in the future.

NZD maybe headed to parity, I would NOT short, only buy medium term pullbacks above .80xx

well what is his time frame? Over time could be a very long time

a sharp fall won't be there as long as they keep the rate above 2.5%

at the moment a red day would be very difficult, let alone going down over time

from a high point its accelerating at a huge pace. parity is definitely in sight this year. dont know if it will even have any retrace.

theres too much carry trade money on the sidelines.
