Has anyone else noticed that, on a 15 minute chart at least, the base of the past 10 of so candlesticks all line up in a line? Why is price so fond of drawing horizontal lines today? It just looks like a large limit buy order being filled.

Market makers have a big hand in this game too, making the most irrational moves imo which to me this looks like, as we had a lot of players trying to short and mm players probably working off this to get to their profit objectives.

RBA Financial Stability Review released: Deleveraging has run its course .

 

  1. Financial conditions for business have improved, deleveraging has run its course
  2. Total mortgage buffers equal to around 24 months of payments at current interest rates
  3. Many households still paying down mortgages more quickly than required
  4. Indicators of household financial stress remain low, prudence still needed
  5. RBA sees little danger of a glut in new housing supply that would pressure home prices
  6. But pick up in home investment needs watching, cyclical rise in prices cannot go on forever
  7. Present housing conditions do not represent a risk to financial stability
  8. Lending standards broadly steady, but signs some banks easing standards to selected borrowers
  9. Important that banks do not loosen lending standards, especially on home loans
  10. Local banking system performing strongly, well placed to meet capital needs

Looking like a failed breakout at the moment. No significant follow through from yesterday. Resistance at .917x.
RBA Stevens will try to talk it down 6 hours from now. Doesn't appear to be rallying so far during the Asian session, as it did at beginning of last two Asian sessions. My crystal ball is a little foggy, but risk/reward suggests a short from .9165 for a .9130 target with a 9 hour time frame and a stop at .9185 seems reasonable.

Pretty unbelievable The Aud/Usd hasn't gone up yet IMO, and I say this having a short.

yep possible to take a breather at the moment. been up 4 days in a row and nearly 1.5%.

Just a little bit of thought

look at the bigger picture, weekly chart, you can see RSI bullish divergence
it is also forming a bullish gartley pattern
so the big picture trend is (probably) up

in the short term, we will see a bit of dips, but we haven't reached any major resistance yet
so stay away and eat pop corn until we see a clear resistance

Rumour has it that Gov Stevens is going to do the speech with his pants around his ankles, a Viking hat and a red clown nose.
I cannot confirm the rumour or disclose the source but it was also mentioned a yawp or two and a shoe may be thrown in for good measure.

My H4 still stands at this point in time. I am holding shorts but will manual close out if no jaw boning action after Gov Stevens speech.

The above is to highlight why you should not trade on news alone. If a news paper article said the above you would be short for 100.0 lots, only to find out that the journalist did not take his medication or heard incorrectly.

This has been my mistake over the last month, I have been doing the charts and reading them extremely well but then mixing emotions and putting doubt on my chart reading by looking at news and current affairs. If I had the discipline to stick with my charts I would be a wealthier man.

I dropped my long. I have to many positions and can't afford positive equity to go back to B/E or negative equity. I don't trust STEVE! he will try to sabotage things with his fancy words about expansive and rates.. I'll re-enter after the shit storm.
