Disliked{quote} Sorry to say this here, but here in RSA, "tossing" has a totally different meaning, I know what you meant, but your statement made me grin, a lot. My EUSD short is still hanging in there btw... HIgnored

Disliked{quote} This is very true, I really can see the potential to trading like this as I was thinking about having discovered this thread the other day actually, and then this scenario came into thought very similar to the example given and hit me like a book over the head.. I'll have to read back and find where it somewhere describes the reason for only buying, as this concept is most interesting to me..Ignored

Disliked{quote} I was trying to find out why Tony only buys when I started to follow the thread and reach the conclusion that because he likes it! Normally Tony buys EURUSD which is against USD, but last NFP news Tony buys USDJPY which is pro USD. I think Tony likes the 'buy button', haha. It is okay to buy or sell. Focusing on one side each time makes life easier. Since the price moves fast during news release, managing SL for both sides would be more difficult and stressful. Hope this is helpful to you!Ignored
Disliked{quote} Pipkiller, Tony or anybody else using Oanda, which platform are you using, their FXtrade or MT4? Is their FXtrade web based or what? Cheers & thanks HIgnored
Disliked{quote} Starhunter, Thanks for this, it really is great hearing this from a more seasoned trader than me in this area. I find that interesting, quite frankly I can understand it would be frustrating buying news and having it go wrong so then switching to selling the next time around and have that go wrong as well.. Playing one side, and one side only definitely would have its pros in that regard. I definitely agree with you about taking one side and leaving it up to the market. Thanks again, its nice to see such welcoming traders here. Best to you...Ignored
DislikedSorry guysif I continue to bother you about HSBC. It affects CNY currency but some of you traded it with EURAUD am I correct?Ignored

Disliked{quote} Chinese data has a big impact on the Aussie. The Aussie is a commodity currency and Australia is a major supplier of raw materials to China. Good Data from China is a positive for the Australian dollar and bad Chinese data is bad for the Aussie.Ignored

DislikedThanks Pipkiller. The reason I ask, I understand that MT4 has what are termed "plug-ins" and it is my understanding that the broker can use these plug-ins to eviscerate your account...Not that anything would stop a broker from doing the same with a web based platform though... I like the idea of a web based thingy though... HIgnored
Disliked{quote} Yep, the old "Bucket Shop" bullshit. I'm playing with FX Trade in demo to get used to it. I don't even care what I'm trading, just randomly pulling the trigger and playing with different things to get familiar and comfortable with it. Mostly getting used too and comfortable with their the order entry and moving stops and targets around is what I need before I migrate away from the Metatrader platform that I'm a wee bit rusty with but still familiar with it at the same time.Ignored
Disliked{quote} H, your constant monitoring of you overall result of New Trading is really interesting. I thiught you were strictly following Tony's rules. Now I see you were shorting EURUSD. Do you follow a strategy of your own? Do you buy or sell according any rule? Just to understand... :-)Ignored
