Really can't add anything further to what I've said above - it's simply neither practical nor desirable to allow everyone to see all the orders in the market.

Other market participants tend to want to exercise a little more caution regarding their positions/orders.

Hi Alex,
what the real volume on the mt5 represents? Is it the traded volume or the traded volume + the pending orders (that were removed from the traders)?
You can see on the first picture the volume of 1m chart. What does the 600000000 means?Does it mean 600Mill.?
And why the volume changed so dramatically after september 2013 ( you can see it on the 2 picture-daily volume)?

The Volumes indicator is the indicator of the number of price changes within each period of a selected timeframe.

Bars of the indicator have two colors. The green color means that the volume of the current bar is larger than that of the previous one. The red color means that the volume of the current bar is smaller than the volume of the previous bar. The indicator colors, as well as its application to tick or real volumes are set in the indicator parameters.

What is the real volume for? A real volume should be the traded volume,thats why is real
In the futures market you have the contracts (the numbers) and the open interest. Please help me to understand what is the difference between tick and real volume for Alpari. How can i see the real traded volume, do i need to have some other indicator for this?

I think what Alex is trying to say is that on MT5, the volume on the chart could be either the tick volume or the real traded volume. The tick volume (like your picture) indicates the number of quotes received within a specific timeframe. On the other hand, the real volume represents the sum of a currency traded within a specific timeframe.
The way I see it is that real volume are only available in stocks/futures because there they can supply you a real volume in such a small market. In forex however you only receive the amount of ticks as volume because they can't supply you volume in such a big market that contain different markets over the world.

From what's been said on the Metaquotes forum, I believe what you are looking for isn't possible for the entire fx market. Your YouTube video possibly shows volumes from the brokers liquidity providers.

it is toy.
meta can`t real ecn.
meta was established for scams.
ctrader is real ecn platform.

Not exactly a large selection of brokers to choose from yet. Hopefully that will change with time.
i just tested the platform,but it doesnt have real traded volume only tick.Better to trade futures

FX is OTC.
We don`t know exact volumes.
If you need it,
You better to trade Currecny futures.

Hi,

Did you get any answer for this case? Of course they will never confess doing so.

I had same kind of action few days ago, but I do not want to elaborate that any more.

Changes to trading times from 9 to 30 March

Hi everyone,

A number of trading hours are affected between 9 and 30 March 2014, due to the start of US daylight saving time (DST) on Sunday, 9 March 2014.

Please also note that our daily charts based on the New York closing prices at 22:00 GMT will be out of alignment with the New York market close (at 17:00 EST) during this time. Once European DST starts on Sunday 30 March, daily charts will again coincide with the New York market close.

Please note that trading hours for all the following products will close at 23:00 on Friday 14, 21 and 28 March.

On Sunday 9, 16 and 23 March, forex, gold spot and silver spot opening times will be affected. On these days, forex will open at 21:00, while gold spot and silver spot will open at 22:00.

On Friday 14, 21 and 28 March, forex, gold spot and silver spot close times will also be affected. On these days, all three products will close at 21:00.

All opening and closing times return to normal on Sunday, 30 March 2014.

At the present moment the http://www.alpari.co.uk website is completely down. All the Dmo and Live MT4 servers are also not connected.

Guys what is going on?? Alpari MT4 is refusing to connect and the site is down!! I am on hold to the help desk.
Looks like there are DNS issues. According to whois Alpari changed their record today but looks like the changes haven't propagated succesfully.
The web site is up if you access it via the IP address 193.46.204.11, but there's nothing on it advising of the problem.
