demo or live - the results should be same

likewise broker to broker the results should be same

not accounting for differences in spread, timezone, dodgy brokers etc

I would not trust mt4 live until bugs are sorted - the charts are all given for educational value

I had some progress in the last few hours but I still have 2 issues to solve:
1. The buttons of the EA are not responding whenever I click on any button.
It looks like the EA does not read the settings.
2. The gray line on top of the chart does not show the pairs as I see in other's screenshots.

I believe you are on the wrong thread, the EA in your charts is not from this thread. That is from seller's thread.

Live trading, at least for me (and I don't think I'm alone), can impact how successful a trade is/might be. Too much caution when entering, a lack of patience when a trade doesn't show early profit, taking profit too soon, etc. seem to be more prevalent when real money is concerned.

very correct, those are what make live trade a different kettle of fish, but even if I show charts and mark them as live, would that help you overcome your emotions? I think no.

the current short would not be closed till xo changes to green @ bar close. It may go 1000 and I end up with 600 I dont care. You will learn to master you own emotions not from looking at someone's posted live chart

My interest, beyond resisting the impulse not to enter immediately when a signal appears or to exit a trade too early, is to see specific live examples of where others are reacting and whether the reaction is valid or is a mistake. Granted a demo trade shows basically the same information, but would you say that the interpretation of what a trader sees during a demo trade is slightly more liberal or at least less exact, than what a trader observes when real money is in play?

Really? so you miss over 1300 pips of short for now. You should couple your chart analysis with the fundamental. Its the fundamental that moves the market not the chart. The chart is the record of fundamentals and/or sentiments. Just my two cents.

I know what you mean, but I'm a chartist and I'm guessing why you are here, I could probably be wrong but this is my "profitable" stategy. That's all. Anyway if you are short I will be happy if you bank a lot of pip with this trade.

Kos, you are doing a great job!

Will you please update your first post (Page 1) and explain which indicators you use now?
I see you used to use in the begining HAS and VQzz2 indi's and now you don't.
I see you use CCI (for divergence only?) and I-XO-A-H (which params?).
What else is changed?

I am a bit confused.

KOS, GVC et all how are you doing? I can see the house is still alive and pips are still counting. I am really glad to see that.
I hail everyone in the house. About a year ago I had to quit forex for academics/research towards my MSc and other qualifications. Now I am done and I am back to fx. For over one week I have taken my time to catch up with all that I have missed since then. I am really happy about what Kos and everyone is doing with XO indi and 4H basket. Its the way to go. I have also noticed the changes in MT4 platform.

KOS/GVC and everyone, I need help on this. I tried to get acquainted with the changes in MT4 and practice with xo before going live with it. However after putting all the indis, scripts and experts in the right places, I opened the alpari fx station only to find that the indicators and experts advisors do not show on the platform. Kindly help on how to go around this. By the way I use Windows 8 OS and build 610. Please help because I cant see the indicators in the indicators section of the MT4 platform.

I will keep trying to see if I can solve this personally but I will of course appreciate help from the house.
