I really shouldn't of tried to catch this falling knife, got cut pretty bad. I'm going to wait for a clear reversal signal before I go in again.

Good job guys! I've been looking for trading opportunities since the begining of the week and i've stayed tunned to this thread but no trade for me.

What i look for is simple a candle pattern (Piercing line, dark cloud, hammer, shooting star....) in either direction, if long it must be above EMA 100 with default macd above 0 line AND if sell it must be below EMA 200 with default macd below 0 line.

Hopefully this help, hit my target last week which is 200pips and 100pips stp funny it has always been falling withing FX ray decision level and target.

Just trying to contribute my own quota to the thread... will post my trade as soon as i see one, for now sitting on the hands

Just some thoughts on the price action today.

It was an engineered move to give a false sense of strength before the slaughter.

I think the main give away was the expanding or broadening wedge which tends to cause the market to become unstable resulting in a big drop.

I think there were signs that JPY would strengthen... negative news out of china, the drop in copper prices... the political turmoil in the Ukraine.

Since yesterday despite multiple attempts UJ couldn't break above 102.84 which was the Low before NFP and an important historical Support/Resistance level.

The negative news out of china in the morning which caused UJ to slip. But not before a rally in GU which was a clever stop hunting exercise which gave a false sense of direction.

GU continued to rally during the London Session but there wasn't any particularly positive stimulus to sustain that move especially when it bounced of the Weekly pivot.

GJ looked as though it had come out of its downtrend from the past few days and that was the whole point.

I think there were some signs suggesting otherwise, the fact that all three UJ, GU and GJ had bounced off their pivots at almost the same time was an important signal, and the fact that positive USD news caused the dollar to weaken and not strengthen which is what we should expect.

170.00 is also an important level for the price to not touch that level after getting so close is rare. It is a level where people like to buy and sell and of course place their stops.

looking for long at 167.50-167-80
u/j magnet at 100.70-100.80

trend should continue, but risk aversion should see more inflow towards safe haven at least until referendum is a done deal

argument for long:1. even with sactions, russia will likely got a back pat rather than full sanction
2. trend line broken thus require drastic action from CB to prevent speculator selloff

argument for short: 1. recent price action are attributed to japanese traders (unconfirmed report)
2. gbp seems to be under a lot of scrutiny from conventional analyst (fxstreet, twitter etc)
3. merkel big talk about full blown economic war with russia
4. talks of western exporters against more QE from BoJ

please correct if idea is ill **analysis based solely on price speculating and forward guidance by CB

That's why I don't use SL anymore. I will use hedge instead.
