wow this is my first experiance of a massive slippage with dukascopy on the eur/aud.. a whole 59 pips of slippage even with a 10 pip slippage control.. gonna email them about it.

I am very disappointed with the last two trade results.

I have been badly slipped by my broker (by all accounts, around 30 pips)....funny that isn't it? The times I get the direction right I'm whipped or slipped, or in the case of NZD, both....

This sucks.

@HannesJoub , you aint alone.
do you place market order before the news in Tony's style or do you do pending order?
I place pending order 2 mins before news with some gaps (5 pips) above previous 5 mins highest ask price. Today i got a slippage of 25 pips, though i still made R:R 1:1.5 but without the slippage i should have made R:R 1:3 for the AUDUSD

How is the straddle going for you?
I do straddle too , place pending order 2 mins before news with some gap (5 pip) above highest previous 5 mins ASK price, but today i got a slippage of 25 pips. That is making me to thinking about placing market order (Tony's stlye) instead of pending.

What do you think?

had more slippage on this news compared to other aud news.
Ended up with almost 40 pips profit anyway, so can't complain although yes the slippage was much higher than the last recents news events.
that 6% on the account. A good 2 minutes work.

I'm with ibfx u.s.,they also have a branch in Australia I do believe. Few years ago they even refunded me the slippage "error" which was 0.41us cents I didn't even noticed it. This particular Aussie news I hedged,one side got taken out clean,as it was meant.
