China drags AUD down, Japanese chase NZD and AUD. Does RBNZ have balls to make AUDNZD 1:1? I doubt it.

Market does not go in one direction, people thought AUD was a rocket too when it was up in 1.06
Its not going to last.
Im getting very nervous with this NZDUSD strength.

"Today, no domestic data is scheduled so the market will remain firmly focused on tomorrow’s RBNZ meeting.

What mystifies me is how NZ can be facing inflationary pressures when it seems most of the rest of the world is facing disinflationary or outright deflationary pressures. It's as if NZ is in some kind of twilight zone. But I'm clueless on NZ's economy really, and a 100% expectation of a rate rise is not something I'm going to stand in the way of. I made a good few bucks on the long side after flipping from a losing short but I'm on the sidelines now.

bernanke tapering was in unsuitable time why ? he want to stop quantative easing but did not also want usd to soar and so rbnz governer as i think want to increase rate but in the same time do not want nzd to soar because the high value of nzd will hurt exports and trade balance and employment so i think he will not increase interest rate tomorrow from this high price
i think he will increase interest rate when investors forget it like bernanke tapering in time no one care for trading but celebrating for christmas
what do you thinks traders

I think if you get that call right you get the right to call yourself a guru for at least the next 12 months

NZ's interest rate has always been higher than other countries, leaving room for rate cuts to curb any hint of deflation. The ECB's problem is low inflation, and no room to cut rates further (headlines abt ECB adopting NEG interest rates). The RBNZ has a target inflation of 1%-3%. At this pace, inflation is to rise above 2%, a midpoint the bank watches as well. A rise in rates will lower inflation as money wont be as cheap to borrow.

This has all been outlined in their last MPS though by Gov Wheeler. The NZ economy is far different from the US/Japan/Euro though
