as i have looked through my charts many of those 5pm-9pm high impact news are good for 30 pips, plus most of them do not have whipsaws which is I think a big plus.

Did an Aud/USD straddle...triggered the sell...currently up 12 pips...and @ BE.... in for the ride...gonna have dinner!!!

yeah the great part is they don't have much volatility before the news which allows for a very tight stop and high RR

btw guys I'm writing a list approved news into my physical journal as i go through them and trade them along with a approved tp and sl, things that tony hasn't mentioned about or trade. I hope i will one be able to integrate this into the list

Agreed though this news doesn't seem like a big driver..has already retraced 10 pips

still 30 pips is not hard to achieve i'd have stuck at either b/e or tp or at least atr trail... with bigger moves however i am okay if it doesnt hit the tp

Hi there everyone, sorry for not posting earlier, but it is difficult to post at 2 am

I actually made 16 pips on a long. (Stopped out @ +16 pips) on EurAud on this mornings news.

Nobody looking at GBP news later today? Seems like everyone is shooting for NZD on Wed...

I will try my hand at GBP later on.

I agree about the lack of volatility。personally I am entering a short in GBPAUD. Doesnn't look too well with the AUD movement.
