Had to close before NFP wouldn't wan to cry... Next week is another trade as my strategy is based on 4H time frame meaning 1/2 trades in a week. Thanks for the close advise house wish you all a happy news trading ... happy pipping

Obviously you like playing games - and I guess on demo too - but since you are so bullish, why didn't you buy the pull back to the 172 area? - you would now have a 50+ pip cushion into NFP.....

OK - but here's my Golden Rule (not that you want it)

Do not ever trade another trader's opinion.

Why?
1. You don't know who they are and whether their opinion is worth anything.
2. You don't know the context (plan) in which they trade.
3. You don't know whether they will actually trade it (or by what risk) or whether they are just spouting to look smart
4. Whether they're right or wrong you will attribute the trade to them, which removes responsibility from you for your own success.

In short, trade your own opinion, and if you don't have one, don't trade.

on the high TF's(W,D,H4,H1)GJ on the long way north..but i prefer close all positions when NFP is on the way..just my 2cent..

Lol - I only watch the Cable thread - I don't post there as I don't fancy getting my head ripped off (seems to be a pattern). This thread seems to be in a good place with some genuine traders sharing opinion and methodology.

what hollowhead had said is common language that news doesn't matter...

For me news and emotions do matter since not having very fat account. By asking in-hand experience, I try to ask what was past experience with the NFP data for previous months... I hope i am clear now.

I am not keen to trade on others opinion, I wish to know what happened in past numbers...

3 possibility
1. Better than expected
2. Below expected
3. As expected.

How GJ behave in these three scenario in the past numbers ?

NFP will nearly always take GJ in the direction of the prevailing trend. Now, has the trend just changed???

Then I humbly suggest you could look at the past numbers and then look at the charts and see what happened.
