I traded it last month and it only moved 8 pips and the difference between actual and forecast was the same last month. I think this time was an exception and the big guys just wanted to take down any resistance above and used this news to do that. Will see next month =)

Could also be an accumulation of shorts at the resistance in order to send it back down with enough volume....i.e. big spike

Well, that was a none event, maybe the other news has more of an effect later...For now, UJ @ BE, TP set for 50 pips.

F.L. Yes... 2-3 minutes beforehand on major high volatile releases...On other "high impact" news releases, if news moves a pair in the direction of its longer term trend, will enter a trade several minutes after the release when the spread is back to normal and hopefully a good retrace..

I will look at GBP/AUD, EUR/AUD, AUD/USD, AUD/CHF to see which one offers the best set up. It is a judgement call. I like to get in 10-20 minutes early.
