I think classic wave count goes according to elliot wave rules correction 3 Waves 1-2-3 trend 5 waves 1-2-3-4-5 this is simplified

I think USD/CAD has more upside to go , same with GBP/CAD and EUR/CAD.
h1 and h4 ADX is expanding the slow ADX has not even reached the middle of the panel yet. If you're in from a couple days ago (I am), I think you can hold on to them and wait till ADX 89 or 144 starts to show sign of topping.

News will either make it spike or pull back and dip buyers will come in and it resumes upward trend.


edit: also probable DS trade on D1 USD/CAD
GBP/CAD already confirmed DS trade on D1

Basically yeah it's like 1-2-3-4-5, but you have to start with higher TF wave count.

Wondered what happened. Gold did not move with other major pairs though.

add this to your adressbar, US existing home sales report came out 15 min before you posted that. 30ish min before one of the 'red' news events, if you are adventurous, start looking for divergences on the M15/M5, you can spot the direction the news is going to give the pair. If you wish to play safe, dont enter trades too soon before or after major news.

ahh that's why. I was so eagerly awaited the CAD news, totally forgot that we have another one at 10 o'clock.

Pound made a big choppy move, thought we were going up but GBP/USD down 100 pips from the high now in just half an hour.....
