Okay, so this spike was USD/SEK at 8:30 (UTC) and this was just Consumer Price Index. It's pretty crazy. This is the M5 chart. Also, the margin requirements are low for USD/SEK and USD/NOK and the spreads go way down when the European session starts. Consumer Price Index for (ZAR) is coming out at 8:00 (UTC) or 3:00 AM (EST) and it looks like GBP Claimant Change is coming out at 9:30 (UTC) or 4:30 AM (EST).

yeah I researched that too on FPA and crosschecked with my dukascopy feed, it's more worthless than ZEW unless it's perhaps a statement; I'm waiting for the GBP claimant cluster early tmr

Nice strategy tony. Simple. I've read the rules and I know that you enter before news, however some people here are trading when there isn't any. Reading some previous posts peeps are entering after 7-10pip moves on the 5s candle. Why is this can someone explain? From my analysis price seems to retraces shortly afterwards resulting in a faky.

Hello, the market has greatly changed in the recent years. Eur/usd isn't as volatile and fake break-outs will occur. The most beneficial time to trade on a 5 pip/5sec candle is during the ECB press conference or BOJ press conference.
