Congrats to all that made green on the AUD news.

I am kicking myself, last night I wrote in my diary, AUD short on news. 2am this morning (ZA time) I was up, then I asked myself if it is a good idea to trade, said "nah" and went to bed...oops 100 pips a pair gone begging.

But, there is always next time I suppose.

Any direction on the USD news this afternoon (ZA time)? I am thinking of shorting EU or GU, long UCHF or UJPY.

Any takers?

Or maybe long on EU GU and short on UJ & UCHF...who knows what price is going to do?....

Thats the thing about this method. You never really know. It's all about setting your SL cause in the end the profits will be much greater

There are also many other countries which release important news from time to time. For instance, in the screenshot below you can see releases coming from China, Singapore, Poland, Czech Republic, etc. Some of these currencies may be more unstable but I think it is still good information to have. I have an interest in news that comes out for Sweden (SEK) and Norway (NOK). Those currencies are more volatile than the majors but they are not completely out of control. Besides, when you are looking at smaller time frames after important news comes out you don't necessarily see the instability. When you are looking at bigger time frames you can sometimes see whipsawing with the "exotic" currency pairs. However, this is not necessarily the case when you are looking at smaller time frames which is exactly what we are doing when we trade the news. Does anyone here trade news for anything other than the majors?

I am always with bulls,i always buy in same manner as Tony doing.I place order 2 minutes before news, than just in a few seconds i place SL point, then waiting the price goes up...I retrace SL as soon as possible when the price is up (about 10 pips)..and waiting news...

on the other had SGD does have a nicer liquidity pool and very cheap spreads... wonder if that could be suitable

I have researched the German ZEW quite extensively and I'm dissatisfied with the volatility it creates month after month. Also forex peace army states it is an orange event so I won't be trading this event, anyone else have ideas on the next target in the coming week?

very good suggestion. I like that. I am with FXCM, who only suggest classical CP. I.e.. the Majors and their crosses. Your exotic list (see also many others here: http://www.investing.com/technical/c...ies?period=300), which broker proposes them to trade? Which is your registered broker?
