I find this time of day normally very quiet as well. I usually wait for after NY open and trade into London close.

+7.7 ( Could have been slightly better or worse so just happy with that for now)

16.4 for the day
(-7.7 + 13 + 3.4 +7.7 =16.4)

Im done for the day unless I get the double bottoms or other pattern that I would like to see.

I like the Close as well especially the reversal of the the NY session news if there is an opportunity.

ECB bs normally stuffs my trading around because I like it when the market move "normally"(dont know if that can even happen)

Charts for earlier trades.
Trade 1 EJ. as I said I wasn't very comfortable with this set-up, signal was OK but a max SL and a steep wall to my left which I didn't want to have to climb to get out. Don't like feeling quite so exposed with so few options. Anyway it went to +3.5 before turning and fortunately left some new high points which I could use for exits, because after it turned I was only looking for the exit. In each case closed TP's at +1 over recent highs.

Trade2 GU. I liked this set-up, the previous move up was mostly gradual and around FR open it paused. It was a really tight little range and although I thought it would continue up also wanted to cover the possible short so put orders in for both with a 1pip buffer, so no need to put SL's on. The gap between HI & LO was 5 so my sl was 7 whichever way it went. Bit of a no brainer. This is another scenario that often happens around Fr open where the overnight moves are brought to a halt by the London lot who then decide where it's going. If there had been more of a "congestion" I wouldn't have done it but that narrow pause period is a bit of a give-away. Another reason to like 1min trading.

I was frustrated today in placing an order on my build 509 platform, I kept getting the reply "OFF QUOTES" then when the trade was accepted, there was a 6 seconds delay before I could see my order on the chart. As price was making a u turn and I decided to take my pips off the table I was prevented, luckily I had moved to BE and the BE was not even respected, they kept replying me "ORDER LOCKED" and took me out at -3pips
Maybe my broker is trying to take advantage or this is just Meta Quotes trying to frustrate users of Build 509.

I upgraded a demo account to Build 600 and surprisingly only lost the use of one indicator -P4L CLOCK guess the author will have to recode it later and I might as well upgrade my Real Account if the demo is still performing well by weekend.

You could also just use the old build for the signal and enter on the new build if the problem persist

As I explained in my old thread, I have decided just to use the TVI part of the G Matrix as it gives more information, especially via its divergence with price......see 16:46 (14:46 gmt)

PS the colour changes happen at the same time as the top line in the matrix

Now that would be just perfect. Imagine staying out of that subsequent rally which was captured perfectly by my system because of MQ"s inefficiency!

I wonder why Meta Quotes did not just perfect MT5 and find a way to migrate all Mql4 indies to Mql5 and then initiate a seamless upgrade, I keep saying that 90% of the "Corporate World" just do not have their "thinking caps" on.

Absolutely, and at some point MT4 will be decommissioned forcing us on to Mt5 and then we really are in trouble..

Well done, I managed to climb the wall and couldn't breath when I got to the top.
It completely floored me for the rest of the session.

Morning Anthm

I just use the trend line tool (it should be on a task bar or the insert menu)

The most basic way and most important yellow line that I draw and look at is the double top/bottom ( DT / DB )

The DT/DB works well because if you think why it forms will give you a great view of the market.A DT / DB only means that the traders that move the market have decided to move the market in a different direction and so giving a top/bottom.

Other traders that come into the market that were trading in the other direction will see this move as a retracement and push it back again to the original high or low where the Big Boys will stop it and try again.

I want to try and identify that second stop and reverse because that is the pattern I love the most because of what it means is happening in the market and there is usually a very small SL on those types of DT and DB because if that top or bottom breaks then that means the Big Traders cannot for the moment defend that level.

Please bear in mind this is how I see it and it could very well be a monkey in space causes Double Top or Double bottoms and I dont want 200 people posting that I am wrong and they are right.This is just how I see it.

It takes a little time to get use to looking for it but it really helps

Look at the chart

1 - market makes a new high and stops at the round number and starts to drop

2 bulls think is a retrace and go for the high again

3 the double top forms and they have now capped price ( Genesis should line anywhere in the first 2-5 red candles)

4 the bulls make a double bottom and you can take your first TP of here and SL to BE

5 Big Boys and now retail all start jumping in and makes a push for 6

6 We make a Lower Low and try again

7 Makes a lower Double top and they push on.

8 & 9 Can happen for many reasons normally on the 5 min TF traders trading the 382 fib retracement of the move or what ever really.Hopefully you have stronger mind than me and you have not dumped TP2 yet and you can now take a nice extend target

10 Fails to make a double top

11 Fails to make a double bottom

12 Makes a double bottom we can try again .

It might not always be this clear but it is always there.The moves cant happen without patters and the DT / DB is the best and easiest in my opinion.

All vertical yellow lines are entries subject to GEN lining up

The HA candles help to see the top and bottom better because of the color change

Hope this help to show how or when I draw it.

Morning. I took the earlier GU signalled at 6.35 thinking that price will at some stage either try to break the previous highs and continue upwards or more likely go back below the number, either to pick up the stops or a more corrective move after the overnight rise. TP1 done now waiting to see what happens around the number. typical pre Frankie activity.

Update ~ Exited TP 2 off 7.14 bar. Briefest touch on the number, thought of re-entering TP2 after 7.26 bar but no decent escape route so out for now, will watch how price behaves around this area.

Long GU with very tight stop, only 1TP, still expect price to go below number

SL now atBE,

and out it goes. finishing for the day now, don't know how much longer price will toy with the number. charts later.

GM - a slow start.....bought GJ in 7:46 bar on signal in a pinch....UJ was long from mid FH.....GU a buy at 7:48.....

Edit: SL to +10, need to get some to start my day.....
