I was looking for a continuation of this up move, but unfortunately PA decided to go the other way...

For me I think it would be the best to wait until LO, leave the first big move and then look for trades! Everytime I try to catch the morning breakout, i get hardly knocked out!

One question regarding to the BB pinch Islander is trading... 25 Pips range is quiet alot... Do you look for this size on the 5m tf or on the 1m?
And do you enter when the BBs starts to widen or before?

Hi Gavalar - thanks for your greaat explanation on BB pinch / squeeze - and yes , 25 pips is very wide, its really there in GJ as a REMINDER, so I will remove the number....actually the number of pips depends firstly on the contract - so I look for < 10 on UJ and also on the price movements prior to the pinch.....but what's important is that it should be easily seen that the BBs are pinching.......see below as soon as I can switch ' puters.....look at GU and GJ....

Not pleased with my trading today, both my entries were "after the facts entries" Total result 11 pips
And that exit on the short shame shame
Just rewrote my rules last night, one off them : exit at cross T3MA.

BB Pinch / Squeeze

This is just an alert and 1 of the 7 signals that are on my 1m chart.

To avoid any further confusion, I have removed that number. As I stated in my previous post, the pinch should be obvious......just look at GU and GJ NOW at 8:10 GMT - so LO + 10 mins.....

Thanks Islander, good examples as well of the actual move on both is opposite to the way price pushes the BB. Almost as if pullback is completing before the quick move opposite direction.

IMO its best to NOT trade GU before mid Frankies Hour - 7:30 GMT.....obviously, there are some days that are "the exception" to the rule, like today!

I try to only enter whilst price is within 5 pips of the 1m 25 ema - you can easily add a +/- 5 pip band to the 25 ema as I have done in the past.....that "allowed" a sell in GU in the 7:20 bar and in GJ in the 7:21 bar.....

agreed - trading BBs is an artform in itself with fakeouts and tests of both bands, so I just use it as 1 / 7 "boxes to tick"....

PS long GJ in 8:15 bar....

PSS its also useful to think of the pinch as the alert after one of Alien's "rest periods"

Islander at that time mine stoch 30 was still pointing down, correct me if i am wrong. Thanks

I had my M30 changing from flat to up, M15 up with M15 ultra blue and crossing up thru its 20 level and M5 ultra blue and crossing its 50 level.....the standard M30 MTF stoch does lag a bit when compared with the Ultra Stoch which actually turned up at 8:05 on my chart.....

PS closed GJ in 8:47 bar - matrix all red and 25 ema turning down

Ok thanks, i saw that set up but hesitated because off the stoch 30, i never trade against it. I will hace a look/surch for that ultra stoch.

That is a good rule......but here, I have the M30 flat at ~ 30 from mid FH, so IMO "preparing" to follow the M15 and turn up - so IMO that "allows" a buy....

OK I'm taking a break - remember BOE and ECB later this morning......

NP - I have M30 flat from mid FH and ~30 so for me that would allow a buy.....

You will find the Ultra Stochs in the File Attachments - click on the # 283 in the blue band at the top of this page....

Thanks they are allready on my charts I had even a question on it but i will look for the answer myself.

IMHO this move is complete BS for now. (ECB's Coeure says the ECB is considering a negative deposit rate very seriously)

Its good if you can keep on old version but eventually the old build will stop working and then the people that didnt update will be where they are now so its best to keep/have both for now IMHO.

Careful Rooi, Mario talking later and recent press statement that Europe may introduce negative interest rates hence the sell off. Unless we see Draghi refute remarks, this could continue although I believe Euro Dollar is going to drop really soon anyway, as it up against a daily long term trend line. Of course I could be wrong and it could break the other way.

Managed to grab 18 pips in this latest drop and should have but didnt hold. As I dont like holding prior to press conference or start of NY.

+3.4 (happy with it.I do get the odd runners but not at this time of the day IMO)

Got scared out of it so dumped half

For a guy like me that cant trade the European open I have to deal with this BS.Not complaining just saying and trading accordingly.

Still waiting for the double bottom.UJ already Double bottomed.
