usd jpy -- buy order at 102.23 SL at 102.10...SL didnt work and close at 101.76 LOST...I should trade on EU USD.I feel so bad ..Have a nice weekend Guys.HOPE You BEST..I will wait for your next week tarding news Tony...

That's what happened to me.... crappy execution times from Armada broker this time.

I had a hedged order ready and my strategy (and worked so far ) was to close the losing one and let the winning one run as soon as I got the direction of price.

I closed the sell order (red line) and after that the buy one (blue line). The fxxxxing delay made my trades closing when the retracement already began.

The result was this ( Tony is right to always buy, the less things you have to do during those hot seconds the better, he just has to move the SL at BE. I have to so just one action more, but could be too much):

I don't know about other brokers but mine is flawless... I get a 15-20 pip spread but my execution is good. I have nothing to say about oanda

Perhaps these brokerages we are using are not safe!!! especially for news events where slippage or spikes occur.. i can suggest CCC (city credit capital)
I had a demo with them, spreads are almost the worst in the business.. 3 for EURUSD, but they guarantee SL, its their biggest selling point. And they are only 1 of three brokerages who can offer immediate execution on trade sizes 50 - 200 lots
May be worth opening an account with them just for this strategy?

On the next NFP, I plan to do the same thing. Buy USD/JPY with a 15 pip SL.

You are totally right Tony..Next week i should change my broker... They released unemployment rate first and the price firstly touched to 102 54..i thought it will go up more but just in a few 5 secnds...slippage occured...SO big slippage....I am not so sorry about that trade, i should think positively..i realized that should change my ECN broker...Thank you..have a nice weekend..

So according to your several years of exeprience after the news there is a parity for price direction - in overall it goes 50% up and 50% down. Or you have some observations about it?

Oanda is not flawless. The slippage was 14 pips.

I looked at CCC's site, and here's what it says about how fixed dealing spreads & SLs work: "d[highlight=rgb(250, 250, 250); color:rgb(63, 63, 63); font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif; text-align:justify]uring market hours and normal market conditions. Stop Loss and Take Profit orders that close a position originally opened by a Stop Entry may also be subject to slippage.[/highlight]

I also read that just a moment ago on their site and it sounds like they are covering themselves..

Long time ago i traded on their demo and had a chat with one of their brokers, he insisted that they are the only brokerage in the world that can guarantee SL, i was like whatever and also i didnt need that as i avoided news trading. Now that i may want to try this strategy (thanks again Tony!!) this is a brokerage i will be considering.
Mini account usd 500, voila!
Also lets all call CCC and hassle them about the none slippage and or execution on orders
This system goes down the tube if slippage occurs with 50+ loss

im heading off so will pursue this next week

Maybe sell for us/jpy is better, usually when eur/usd goes up, the usd/jpy goeas down? I guess?

lol this means they are putting you in the B-book, and they expect you to lose all your balance to them eventually. None of your orders are executed to the market directly. If it was through the A-book it'll have slippage and lags.

This means there's a conflict of interest because they can manipulate the price feed and stop you out hence guaranteed stop loss LOL.
