How we survived out there amazes me... Swimming in the river with Snapping Turtles, and Cotton Mouths... etc., etc.... Every species of known insect in the universe including Deer Ticks, and Tsetse Flies...

Morning Whip, Trades still pos., and that is good... We are cold, 20 deg., and damp... overcast... been like this for weeks... Have an invitation to a Wild Goose Chase this morning, so I'll need to sign off about 7...

One of the crew called earlier with the suggestion... It's good to crawl away from my computer now and then... We'll have a hearty breakfast and then do our tour of standard birding sites within 50 mile radius, including the Swamp...

Bird I really like now is the, Cackling Goose... Now that I have seen several, I reakize they are much smaller than I had expected them to be... Just like Canada, but at half scale... It is a new classification...

You need to take a camera and post some pic's......We just don't have any birds like that down here.......

Yes, Euro's not moving in sync bodes a mediocre move at best... We may have had just a Gbp reaction to eco news early Mon morning...

If you have Canada Geese, you will have Cackling Geese as well... They travel together... CG was formally classified as subspecies of Canadian, but now a species in its own right... I think...!!!??

Weather has turned super ugly here....35 degrees and sleet....Key West looks really good right now......


Trades got roughed up today......EJ almost hit the SL....The rest, dead in the water............
