RBNZ just released the PDF of Gov. Wheeler's speech which started an hour ago, in Christchurch.

In short, this is what came out of this speech that was important :

 

  1. “The high exchange rate has been a headwind. The Bank would like to see a lower exchange rate and does not believe the exchange rate is sustainable in the long run.”
  2. ''In such an environment, there is a need to return interest rates to more normal levels, and the Bank expects to begin this adjustment soon."

NZDUSD getting hammered today, at a major turning point here also. Mainly due to USD strength we are seeing a lot of xxxUSD pairs fall however this one will be interesting if we can close strongly here. Im playing a short term continuation on the M15 as a inside bar breakout

it looks like that the rallye will end @ 1.09269 area for a drop to 1.06717

NZD vs any other pair looks very dangerous at the moment. It looks as though it might spike considerably higher, but also has a substantial risk of falling soon. I'd stay away from this currency for the rest of the week, at least.

Most of us are in deep water with this kiwi behavior. Let's hope it goes up soon
