Anyone else prefer bar charts to candlesticks?

Sometimes i do flick between my bar charts to see candlesticks but overall i have found myself using bar charts more. I think the main reason for this is because it clears out alot of the noise on the chart, especially when on lower time frames. My trading strategy doesn't rely on candlestick patterns like some, so i feel like i'm not really missing out on a lot. Does anyone else share the same opinion? do you use bar charts, if so why?

I guess it obviously totally depends on one's strategy, but I agree. My charts look like this, so could be bars or candles….kind of irrelevant. but being able to quickly spot engulfing bars and pin bars with a candle chart is quite handy.

I just switched to Bar charts exclusively. Much cleaner for market structure IMO.

I fee candlesticks are more popular and used, but if bar charts works more for you like you have explained, it would be better to stick to it.

its all the same info -
candles are easier to see
bars were more used until 15 years ago.

I think bar vs candlestick depends on what makes sense to the trader. I per candlestick because that is what I used the past two years of trading.

Line charts show truer resistance and support levels than all.

True, yet you should look at what justice a naked line chart with some horizontal support can do!
