madpommie, sorry for your loss. 20kGBP is really a lot.
Were there a lodge, was the scammer arrested?
Thanks for the links I will have a look. Between these and the mentionned threads, it will keep me busy for a while...

BTW I am trying to make a price action based EA (night scalper while asian session), if an experienced trader want to design it, I'll make it coded...!

Thanks

WOW! That is a crazy amount.....but if he sent $100k to someone over the internet that he did not know.......
Or even if it was a PAMM acconut(witch I am sure it was not) and did not pull the plug on him....then who's fault is it really....

Jacko could have been the scammer of scammers or maybe not(I don't really know what and who he was)but....I really want to know.....cause you are right....it is just crazy!!!

But still sending money to someone you do not know......that alone is crazy.....

{quote} Looks to me that this is the same guy. Online gambling was just underway in 2000. Fellow I know made a killing with online gambling. He folded up the business when the US made it illegal to xharge credit cards. (approx 4 years ago). Maybe a new board game in the making; Where in the world is Jacko. Good luck to all that have been affected.

I've known about this toe rag since 2001. If Wayne Jackson is aka Jacko or if Jacko is Jamie (Wayne Jackson's boyfriend) I'm happy to help with information. In so far as making a killing in online gambling, the only way this goof makes money is by scamming people.

It seems apparent Jacko was / is a thief. BUT, isn't it also true he was an excellent trader? I admit I haven't read very much of this thread, but he must have proved he consistently made winning trades if people were willing to invest THOUSANDS of dollars with him. Isn't that right?

I guess I am asking: Without me going through all 654 pages of this thread, can someone tell me if there is proof on this thread he was an excellent trader and made consistent wins? I am just curious.

Traders trade, thieves steal. But, of course thieves can be traders too. Enter Jacko. Jacko is a great "trader", because he took hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits at 0% risk to himself as the thread clearly attests.

I wonder why do some grow ups still believe in Santa, when years of losing at trading + creative writing skills is all it takes to create the seemingly credible persona of a profitable trader. Even 3rd party verified trading trackrecords should never be taken at face value. There's value in knowing how to pose questions.

Good question. I followed Jacko (without actually ever being a member of his group) for a while and wondered much the same thing, after he disappeared. I posted my thoughts here (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=4533744#post4533744) and, after performing some research, included a list of usernames that I believe were Jacko aliases. This suggests that Jacko had planned his coup from as early as 2 years prior to his disappearance.

The post immediately after (#13000) makes the valid point that he was collecting subscription fees all along, while planning his final sting.

However, on the other hand, there were folk (like coscorp) who IMO were not shills, that claimed to be making good profits from Jacko's signals.

So I guess we'll never know for sure.

My thoughts on all this.

read the first few pages, they are filled with great info, i truely believe this is the best business to be involved in (for all the reasons listed on page 1). I traded this system for some time and made good profit, even helped others do the same and posted regular charts for people to see. I was truely disappointed with the end result, but always felt people should trade there own money and no one elses.

unfortunately not all the people that tried this system made money :- failure to follow rules, gut feelings, I know the market "it's going long" type issues cause failures accross any effective system. the hardest part about trading is finding the system that fits you, i think that probably 90% of the systems posted on FF work, but generally only for the person that set it up - why - because they can see what no one else can, they developed the system around them, what they wanted from the market and every person is wired differently.

I studied system after sytem after system, was posting in all of them and making money from most - but only pennies, it wasn't until Strat slapped me (kindly via email) and told me to focus on one system and master it that i really found my way - - it's a long journey trust me.

demo platforms are there for a reason, try the system, but i'd recommend adding James16 study of candles/support & resistance to the learning package as these help define strong and weak trades taken Jacko style.

best of pips

You can do it anyway without someone "email" you. This Jacko is obviously a scam, setup from beginning. There are other posts about this in the thread long time ago. Jacko is watching too.
