Overseas shipments rose 4.3 percent from a year earlier, the General Administration of Customs said today in Beijing. That compares with the median estimate for 5 percent growth from 39 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News. Imports (CNFRIMPY) increased 8.3 percent, leaving a narrower-than-projected trade surplus of $25.64 billion.

Narrower trade surplus due to larger imports should be positive for AUD. But yet AUDUSD seems to be capped. Not good for bulls IMO.

I had a short since last night and closed it as soon as the New Home data came out and was positive 7.5% only got 8 pips, now I'm not sure where this pair will go and I wish I'd closed this morning while it was lower.

In any case it still beats losing money.

i think overall aud/usd looks bearish.
but there's a lot of room to move up on weekly so it could be low risk opportunity to buy.

it is interesting what you mentioned about the wicks gbp/usd eur/usd usd/jpy all have wicks.
but aud/usd did not really move down before going up.

edit sorry it does i was looking at usd/jpy.
i don't know bud, just going to see what happens.
