Disliked@ gg53 I must be doing something wrong. capture introduce and comment: {image} 1 - start to calculate from the red vertical line 2 - introduce fractal pattern [1] and according to probability, this pattern is correct 3 - in a length L = 5 bars gives me high probability in length with fractal pattern [1] 4 - step to determine "next bar" and "Current bar" and both give me 100% bearish, so I put bearish signal. 5 - Loop calculating from this signal, but this time looking bullish signal. 6 - In conclusion, where the second red arrow is where I appear...Ignored
DislikedRegarding to the adaptability of the system. Eurusd correlates negative to Usdchf for over 97 % of the time on H1. So isn't is enough to keep feeding the data and than cross check the signals on these pairs?Ignored
DislikedCrodzilla, From other thread, if i am not wrong, we do the probability calculation right after the second fractal appear. Do you also do like that ? Thank you.Ignored
Disliked{quote}2) if we have a "fractal" = 2, it means that the candle has 2 fractals (upper & lower) at the same candle. What i do is like this : a) If in current zz leg has fractal before, then i change it depend to the previous fractal. example: if previous fractal in current zz leg is a [0], then i change this "twin fractal" to [10]. so, if previous fractal is a [1], then i change this "twin fractal" to [01] b) If in current zz leg has no fractal before, then i am looking for zz direction. If current zz direction [zzUpdown] is up [1], then i change...Ignored
QuoteDislikedIt's NOT our target. Our target is the trading SWING point. Sometimes it's the same and other times it's not.
The ZZ leg end point is the "Highest high" which not always is the best entry point on bar close.
So, many times you visually see a "miss" - but if you look at bar close as your TRADING entry point - it's not.
Disliked{quote} No. It is tricky if there are no fractals... like after a signal. You have to "guess" if the first fractal is going to be a "1" or a "0" and start database search. You must have at least one fractal to search the database. We are looking for zigzag end-point. ALL zigzags end in at least ONE fractal. If previous zigzag was a bottoming zigzag, you could use the opposite "1" fractal as the first fractal. CarlIgnored
Disliked{quote}A few anxious moments for me at first, but after looking everything through I realized I had already done everything the same as you. One thing though - the section of comparing fractal pattern occurrences. Which is the correct way, is it current > 1 && current > 0 or current > 1+0? Both versions float around, would be good to specify which is the one. Thanks! C.Ignored
Disliked{quote} In the example I gave above, I think from the beginning should have introduced [1], but regarding gg53 response in post 129, it makes me wonder how the processIgnored
Disliked{quote} I am handling 2 fractals in one bar the following way... G says whatever comes first, the bottom or the top, and that should be the order. So, if I have a bullish bar with 2 fractals, I can logically assume that the bottom fractal came first, since the close of the bar is higher than the open. If I have a bearish bar with 2 fractals, I can logically assume that the top fractal came first. That may not be in 100% of the cases, but it is fairly rare, so I'm not to worried about it, so I will stick with my logical, most probable method. If...Ignored
Disliked{quote} If you really want to know for all 100% of the cases, you would have to drop down to the 1-min chart. CarlIgnored
Disliked{quote} I think there's been a shift in terminology (or concept?) - G says to look for a "swing point", not ZZ's end-point. Read this somewhere: {quote} I'm still calculating stuff from last confirmed zz point, this should mean I'm looking for an end-point. Therefore, if I'd change the algo to start searching from the last signal, it would be looking for a swing point? In September G said about his "parent dilemma" - instead of predicting the end-point his algo predicted just a good trade entry upon zz's and fractals. Was there more than a word...Ignored
