I open my web browser up and I have 14 tabs that open....all trading related.
I am going to try something. I am going off line in the trading world and looking and listening to nothing other than myself and the price in front of my face.

I think that its easy to get detrimentally distracted in the processing of information with so much stuff to 'think about' i.e. opinions, others analysis, breaking news etc. I want to keep it as simple as possible.

So I am going off the grid for November. I want to see what (if any) impact it has on not just my trading results but the decision making process that leads to the whole process of entering and exiting a trade.

So have a great November guys and speak in the December

I know what you mean Mike.

I've been through the same thought process a number of times but I think my trading is now at a level where I can filter out the noise.

But trading is a process of continuous learning and I find it helps me deal with some of my bias's if I listen to other opinions sometimes.

Hi all, I got to know your thread through Olu´thread. I have been following you guys for a time. I trade daily chart on forex majors and - since short time-CFD of oil and US30. I mainly swing but I want to learn to trend trade. I also wish to learn to trade crosses and that is why I was following you guys. now, that I decided to "come out of the closet" Mypipbull decided to hide for a month . Anyway, I will try to post and would appreciate your comments, hope I will not cause more noise. Cheers to all of you reading this thread.

So how did the year go? Can you post some stats ? Number of COT trends for the year, ideal number of %R you could have made , real number of %R , etc

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas / New Year period.

I think we are in for a very interesting year with regards to the financial markets and the broader global economies.

I will be starting out slower this year just to get a few trades under my belt before ramping up.

As a result I am only looking at trading the 4 Majors and the 3 Commodity pairs for January.

Hey Griz,
As I have previously mentioned I have not payed too much notice of such statistics as I found them a distraction rather than anything else.
To be honest I had one account and had been trading multiple approaches out of the same account so the stats are pretty much worthless.

However, this year is going to be different. I have separate accounts for separate styles of trading. This is what the professional do so this is what I must do also. After discussions with one of my online buddies I have decided to link my account to either MyFXBook or one of the Trade Explorers on Forex Factory.
I may make it available to people who are interested once its setup and working.

Anyway thanks for your post and have a great year.

EUR/USD - Short Orders

Possible first trade of the year. I think we can be looking for shorts on the euro. We have moved into a little supply area on the 4H and now printed a reversal bar. I have orders placed around it. If we break higher I will cancel.

So I am short now. Looking at the action last night you can see that it popped back up to the area and got quickly rejected. This is encouraging however, it we keep hitting that zone the supply will run out and we will probably move higher. As a result I am lowering my stop a bit.

Risk free trade now. Stop just below breakeven.
