When I just started trading, I never used a stoploss, and I got a Margin Call, but mostly due to a lack of knowledge and experience! Now, I still don't use stoploss, but only because I make good trades, and never really end up losing anymore.

So BJ dropped his stupid answers cause he recognized Magic as a guru to him, or atleast not a SL user, therefore not in his eyes a losing trading, cause everyone who used SL's is a loser according to him, and Magic wonders why we have issues with him.


Magix, we've tried all weekend to get any info of him, he has zero respect for SL users thats all.

I only support Joe in him continuing to follow his own system, I'm not taking his side.

I support everybody who wants to trade with the logic they see fit, with or without a stop loss.

Thems be the only sides I am willing to take. I am not sure this game will actually come to a poll where one side will out number the other, and even if it did, I couldn't be sure that this would even count as a win for anybody.

Why would I take a side?

So lets have a summary here....BJ has:

His methodology: Buy low sell high. No further explanation has been given, therefore his methodology is a huge FAIL.

So...He has no methodology....fine.

"99.9% of all traders lose"....as supported by his personal 'study' by looking at some some trading forums FAIL

"If you use a SL you are gambling".......like all of his nonsense, completely unsupported by facts. FAIL

"Every man and his dog thinks they know about how banks work.....but his test of the banks show that they are all wrong.....except him...of course! The bank tests allegedly undertaken by him are not forthcoming,so FAIL

Apart from the above, which he has repeated like a parrot for several hundred posts, he has nothing.....no charts, no diagrams...nothing.

Sure, sure it's easy to mouth off about how many pips he (allegedly) made....but that too is just talk...iow...FAIL.

In conclusion, it may well be possible to trade profitably and successfully without a SL. I cannot do that.....and I am not gambling and many of my trades are shown 'live' to demonstrate how I trade. What about Joe?.....well.....indeed....what about him?

Oh yes that's true....the banks are gunning for my 20 (+ or -) pips SL all the time.......interesting how they seem to miss 80% of the time though...go figure

I tried to get him to understand, it's his trading method and stop placement which are at fault, but wasn't going to listen.

I've had periods of 10+ SL hits in a row, but it's not the banks my method just didn't actually work, realised it brushed it off and tried something else.

I think I even tried no SL's once, didn't last long LOL

Do you seriously believe that brokers don't sweep for SLs?

Not all...but, bucketshops.

It's a known fact. Refusing to fill at TPs and sweeping out of bounds for SLs...I been there. Shit, even anybody to use an EA knows this. Thus the reason that specific commands were made to hide these points.

It ain't some conspiracy theory.

I been in this boat, adapted my trade style to never use either point. I manually trigger out stops, and manually trigger out profits, and Even on those, watch the spread widen to razor off a shade of trade.

As far as you setting Stop Losses, RJ...

I believe that your trade system and idea of trading actually includes this concept as to supported and restrictive ranges. That and what is posted in a few of the other great learning threads at FF, allow others to at least have an idea.

As for the General Populous, I still maintain the same.

Setting a stop loss and tp on random trades with ambiguous numbers is nothing more than a gamble...but then again, given what I read on peoples trades, a lot of those are as random as coin toss trades anyways.

Gamble in and gamble out...

I'd be willing to bet that it is this kind of logic that keeps you out of the mainstream EURUSD thread and others of it's general calibre.
