I feel like this topic has become a beaten dead horse over the past year....You don't need stops to trade successfully. I've been at this for 5 years now, never once used a stop throughout my career. I now trade treasuries at a firm as of the last few months...they also DO NOT use stops. Now, that's not to say, it's not a good idea to have a broker on speed dial in case of software issues. If you feel more comfortable using stops....so be it, but it does not mean that you can't be successful without them.

look at your equity and profit, and then look at every clown saying how great no stops are. I think you will find you are very alone in your metrics.

Your situation bears no resemblance to every other "no stop" guru on here.

of ways to trade. Any one of which could be profitable for the trader who makes

Not really. There are very few ways to trade and win. But many ways to trade and lose. Persistently guaranteeing to buy high and sell low is definitely a loser.

You get given adverts depending on what you search for in search engines, what you search for on websites which allow you to purchase things, the type of sites you visit etc.

You really need the AdBlock plugin for your browser

You are taking it out of context. The context is forex. Most retail forex gamblers lose. It is generally believed the losing rate to be 95%. I estimate it at 99.9%, and the guarantee these people give to buy high and sell low has a lot to do with it.

The trade secret is a secret.

And what studies is your estimate based upon? Perhaps you could share the data that you have collected to enable to reach such an estimate?

being just THAT. You can estimate whatever you would like. You can say ONE thing and change to say
something else (this is called ass covering).

My study was based on my forum use over the years. I have yet come across a single one who was convincingly profitable.

I have seen plenty of people succeed in normal business. I have never seen one who was successful in forex. So the context is relevant. Practically nobody in forex uses normal business practices, instead they use casino practices. So this can account for why more succeed in normal business and few succeed in forex.

Yet anyone else doing a "forum study" would place YOU in your 99.9% majority of losers because you have not produced (to this forum) a single shred of evidence to contrary.

You are free to disprove my study. You can be the first successful forex player I ever come across. Say or do something that convinces me you know what you are doing in forex.
