I join you in your optimism for the new year Rehab. Sorry to hear about the trading mishaps. However even if you are not trading real money right now open a demo and trade it. By doing that you can test out you thoughts about trading. Or open a micro account (my preference).

The $ after it broke the down channel/bearish pennant it didnīt show a strong bullish momentum. It did retreat twice. The current retrace is weak but long.
The gold is right at a strong support and the lower side of the triangle. Reaching this level didnīt produce a strong rejection as it did twice before. There might be a weird H&S as well.
On the other hand, crude oil is holding on its current support and turning bullish, stochastic and RSI are turning up.
Something is fishing here. I think today if $ doesnt resume the bull movement then I will go back to how I was wich coasted me a lot of pips: bearish $. If it does resume the bullish up movement then the sell Eur/USD would be a good trade, and the question then would be to how far $ will move up? not so far giving the current momentum IMHO.

Hi Rehab. Nice to read from you. I like your $ chart because I am bullish the $ and think this downmove is just a retest of the breakout area. However being a $ bull is nerve wrecking. Fundamentally US wants the $ weaker so theoretically commodities should go up and the stock market should continue up. I am bearish crude oil though lloking to sell if we get near 97. I, again like you, will not hesitate to sell the $ if it becomes apparent that that is the way to go. Well done on the analysis Rehab

I looked at the Dow and it seems is hesitant to reach the upper border of the up-channel, Stoc is also over sold since sometimes.

Flat now. Decided to run for the hills with the 100pips. Now I believe we have just done or nearing the completion of a 3rd wave down and are due for a retracement. the lower timeframes are sporting bullish divergence all over the place. I do believe there is more downside. I will put up a chart with my thoughts later.

Eurusd intraday

We ate at the 50% retracement of the '3rd wave' move. Stochastics has turned down as well.
