Hi All,

I apologize if this should of gone into the commercial content forum, but I haven't put it there due to what I'm offering being free and for rookies.

I've been trading for 3 years and have became a consistently successful trader over the past 6 months. I have a couple of friends that worked for FX brokers in the past and as a result feel that I've gained much insight into the in's and out's of trading, from a client and broker perspective. I've learnt many lessons, both the hard way and from watching other peoples accounts on what you should, but mostly what you shouldn't do when trading FX. I would ultimately like to start up a trading coaching business in 2015, but in the mean time would like to share my knowledge and lessons with some newbies for free.

The reason I'm doing this is so:

I can get your feedback on the content

+

See if I can actually help anyone

Feel free to ask me any questions, I've had to be more vague on this then I'd like to but I'm running late for work!

Cheers

Please note: This in no way is going to be advice

EDIT 02/03/2015:

Hi All,

I apologise about not getting back to many of you. This thread got far bigger then I ever thought it would. I ended up getting PM'd by about 5 people early on and stuck with just helping a smaller amount of people. I felt it was more then enough work for me to do.

Some of you say I must have started losing money or was just trying to sell a robot which started losing money... Neither of these statements are true. I don't frequent FX forums so much anymore, but am still trading (and profitably at that).

Anyhow, As this thread reaches almost 170 replies I'd like to try and help you all, as I said I would. This Wednesday at 9:00pm NZDT I'll be holding a free webinar, where I will explain my trading philosophy and also give my view on current market conditions. I'll also share my current open positions.

Some of you may not like what I have to say, as I break down why your fibonacci's and indicators are complete BS. But I do ask that you come to this session with an open mind. I've worked in the industry and trade as a retail client. I where both hats and know the ins and outs of both.

This session will be free, and depending on the outcome of it I may decide to charge for future webinars. That's because if I'm going to spend hours of my time helping 50+ people I think it's fair I be compensated. If I start doing this I'll show my account statements as that would only be fair to the purchaser. I might not do this, but am going to be upfront in case I do. I'm not here to waste anyones time and don't want to hear whiney chumps complain about someone who's not willing to give there time to them for free.

With all that being said, I would be happy to show you as much as I can within an hour this Wednesday. You can register for the webinar here.

Please Note: You will extract the most value out of the webinar if you know the basics of tech and fundamental analysis.

No set system, just a wide understanding of many different technical factors and set ups. I also include a bit of fundamental analysis as well, but only at a very simple level.

Moomoo, what would you say your current level of understanding is with fx?

Hi Trendytradin,

I'm a newbie in FX trading. I have traded for 3 months on eToro webtrader and then I switched to real account. I made quite a good amount of money on my demo account but I'm losing money in my real account. On my demo account, I used to follow other traders. Basically what they are doing and I went to the majority of the people. Eventually I made profit but when I'm applying the same rules on my LIVE account, it's not working.

I understand Technical Analysis is very crucial for FX trading. I have been looking for tutorials on Technical Analysis but haven't found any that really teaches you Technical Analysis. All I found is bogus. I guess you understand my point.

I would be really grateful if you can provide me guidance on how I can learn Technical Analysis and other Forex strategies that will help me to be a successful trader in the long run. I really really look forward hearing from you soon.

Thanks!!
EngrNoman

No offense, but IMO he shouldn't have to prove anything. Especially as he's not selling anything.

And you shouldn't trust anything at face value, even if it's posted by somebody like Buffett or Soros, or is linked to an impressive performance graph. With ideas and strategies that are presented, at least be diligent enough to test them for yourself, and find out how to make them work best for you.

One major reason that most folk never succeed is that they're looking for a plug'n'play, color-by-numbers formula — when no such thing exists. (Think about it — if it did, the banks and institutions could save themselves millions by dismissing all of their highly paid traders, analysts, economists etc, and simply run with that formula).

Well, at least that's the way I've found it to be.

@trendytrader: sorry to interfere, I'll disappear now and let you continue. I'm interested to see your views. Many thanks for sharing.

Good time of day.

I'm interested in hopping on to the forex journey, willing to learn all the in's and out's of it. I have a general understanding of what it is, how it works and blah blah... My relatives been trading for a while now. Seen some really good results, and some really bad ones. Now i'm up for a start, and what i'm looking for is someone who will tell me how to get in to this world, from what to begin, what to learn and what to study.

Basically what i'm asking for is something like a study program. I have a lot of free time so i think i would like to learn M1/M5/M15 trading systems or some tech analysis that would help me trade in those time frames.

Looking forward to your replies, your concern is much appreciated.

Hi all,

Im happy to see that there are a few of you keen to give it a go. The way I think I will structure it to begin with will be with 2 webinars where I will go through some of the very basics as well as the more detailed concepts that I've picked up on my own intuition.

One thing I'll say right now is my goal is not to give you guys a surefire strategy, but a high level of, lets call it, FX trading intuition.

While the main focus will be on finding trading opportunities, I'll also go into a bit about choosing a broker (Everyone knows this is important but I don't think they know what they really should be looking for) and also other aspects of FX such as EA's and other trading courses.

Once I've done these webinars, and you guys have had a chance to try out some theories on a demo account, I can get your feedback on how you are doing and help you accordingly.

I can't promise I will make any of you successful, but I do believe I can offer you some quality no BS insight into how to trade fx.

Will let you guys know once I've got the dates for the webinars sorted.

Please DON'T trust my judgement. Instead, check out whatever material is presented, and decide for yourself whether it is helpful to you, given your own personal trading philosophy, approach, goals, etc.

Well said! In the world of FOREX it pays to be a critical enquirer.

Is this just for forex regarding questions?

I always wondered: Funds and ETFs take a management fee per year which will be calculated into the price. If I short such an instrument using what ever certificate I can find (short turbo, knock out, options or what ever) will make an equivalent win on this management fee or does it get factored out?
