One of my demo metatrader platforms from Interbank is showing invalid account in the lower right corner (where the connection speed usually resides). I tried to login manually but still no luck. Any ideas for a fix of this without loosing the built up trade history?

I believe that it means your account has expired (The InterbankFX demo server enforces a timelimit on demo accounts). Sign up for a new one (by going 'File' -> 'Open New Account') and you should be set with a fresh Demo Account.

But I would loose all the trade history I have if I did that.

You could switch to Strategybuilderfx.com. theirs never expire.

My LIVE IBfx (MT4) account also shows "invalid account". I called them and they said it has to do with the glitches they had Friday afternoon implementing their upgraded website and platform. I tried a Live chat but that just said they're off-line 'till further notice.

No Problems At All With Mt-3 Im Not Switching Till They Get It Right. I Also Have A Live Account With Fxdd There Mt-4 Is Working Just Fine.
If I Go Broke Trying Then I Will die happy.

 Dear Interbank FX  Customers,

 We wanted to  update you on the problems you are experiencing today with MT4 and apologize for  the inconvenience. This  morning Meta Quotes came out with a new update to their  software. 

 Shortly after the  update came out we received the following email message from Meta  Quotes.

  Bug in Data Center Build  304
”Unfortunately, in build 304 that had been released in  the morning today, an error was discovered. This error concerns retardation of  the quotes flow. We highly recommend to launch manual updating through  Administrator and upgrade data centers to build 305.The error was caused by  adding of the new mode of hourly checking the charts constancy. The main quotes  pumping stream was braked due to numerous rechecks of charts. We are making our  apologies for possible inconveniences caused by this! error.”

 

 The new update  caused the system to overload and crash. Our IT people are in direct contact  with the Meta Quotes programmers and we are working to get this problem solved  as soon as possible. This problem was limited to MT4 and all Interbank FX  systems are running smoothly. 

 If you do need to  close a live trade please contact our customer service department directly at  866-468-3739 or 801-733-6910. 

 Once again  we apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have these version 4.0 issues  sorted out shortly.  Alternately, if you like to request to transfer your  account from version 4 to version 3 the link can be found here - http://www.interbankfx.com/transfer_4to3.php

They are back on-line; but all the closed trades a day before is active now and the equity was calculated to current price... Funny... They must refund all the money...

Chart messing up would be OK... but the problem is the equity and active trades are messed up... They have lost the data from latter part of Thursday and Friday; so the trades that I exited are active now... and the equity is calculated with current price with old trade info... Big mess...

I did a lot of changes to my open and pending orders Friday morning. This morning I see that even closed orders are still open and my changes resetted. I'm lucky to trade micro accounts (1pip-1cent) and lost around $2. InterbankFX had a problems whole week. I'm thinking about moving to Oanda.

I do not think they can gain the reputation back or retain their customers... Never seen anything like this in financial sector... They have to get the log files from clients to build up the accounts back again... Pure amatures... Who will upgrade or patch the server on a trading day -- no concept of maintenance window?

This is scary:

One of my full time forex trading buddies just had a serious problem happen. He had an account with www.Interbankfx.com with $620,000 of real money in it. They went through some "technical difficulties", executed a bunch of trades that he didn't execute, margin called him, e.t.c. Long story short, lost him $280,000 in a matter of days, because of "technical difficulties".

Then he spoke to the CEO of the company, who shook his hand, admitted that these were indeed technical difficulties, and he would take care of him.

Now, they are dropping the ball on him, saying that he is a beginner trader, and it was all his fault...I mean these guys opened some trades while this guy was out of town!

Having this website, I get a bunch of different complaining emails from people, and obviously I usually don't email about people's problems to you. But in all honesty, I know this guy very well personally, I've seen his account statements, and I know he is not bullshitting me. I mean this guy was making hundreds of thousands in forex, while I was still in high school, and didn't even know what the word forex meant. And by the way, it's not Tom or Rob...it's somebody else.

Here is the real reason why I am emailing you. This guy has a lawsuit going against Interbank FX right now, he already has a federal attorney involved, and he is trying to shut these suckers down, in addition to getting some of his money back.

If you had an account with Interbank FX, and you also feel you got "screwed" by them, then perhaps you could add yourself to the lawsuit, and recover some of your losses, and put an extra complaint against them to get them shut down.

they probably went the wrong way on thursdays rate hike and crashed the system out so they need not pay for it.
