Here's the latest Stat Arb Trading System from FX AlgoTrader - www.fxalgotrader.com - It's called Stat Arb V2.5r - the 'r' stands for "Reloaded" - it's basically been re-architected so it can trade other asset classes as well as Forex. It's a semi-automated system so traders have to decide which assets they want to arb. Once the system has been set up the trade execution is automated.
You can see the "spread" for the CAC and DAX indices over a 4 hour timeframe below:-
Trading asset classes which move together over longer timeframes can be lucrative if mean reversion takes place. There is obviously no guarantee mean reversion ALWAYS takes place when you expect it to so this isn't necessarily a "free lunch"
