way too unrealistic......... if you make 20% in an year...... you are a great trader.....well unless you are trading a small account, in which case....this sucks big tyme

That was a demo and it was 100% in a couple of weeks......
FYI that never happens for the live accounts....

yes it does. I once did about 700-800% profit within 2 weeks, but I was newbie then so I lost it

you mean the market makers? yeah, of course they can only make small gains. because they have so much money they move the market too much when they trade big, so they have to trade small.

but 300-500% profit isnt that diffcult for those with no liquidity issues.

10% gain per month = 210% per year

Including a 30% tax rate, starting with $10,000 -- 210% per year will get you about $1million (920k) after 5 years.
Be hopeful in a winning position, and fearful in a losing position.

ive seen 10k to 100k in 3 months, thats 1000%

I see such consistent high gain % as a possibility, but a very improbable one. I think trying to impose such a difficult goal on one-self (or the market), long-term would be an invitation to disaster for most people.

I was doing this sum as follows: antilog( log(5) / 12 )

Working in the other direction I always use the [x^y] key in the Windows calculator, now I can use (e.g.) 5 [x^y] ( 1/12 )
...which is a whole lot quicker to type.

I have a solution for you .....it might work.

Set up another PAMM account for yourself.
In the main trading account you hold a small stake which you trade at 2¢ per pip.
Into your PAMM account you put all your profits, and keep only the comfortable stake in your main account.
Then as your capital grows it automatically trades the right size in your PAMM account.
Probably it is important to not be able to 'see' the PAMM account from your trading account.

I know you will always be aware of the second account, but you could try it with enough to run 2¢ trade sizes in each account and then see what happens if you get to 40¢ in the PAMM account.....? (maybe best not to look )
