DislikedSo one is MT4 and one is the currenex frontend? Because the Alpari Direct link shows a screenshot of the java Currenex frontend too (altho without 1/10 pip pricing). http://www.alpari.co.uk/trading-platforms/alpari-direct I would suggest to rework this website, i think its not very clear.Ignored
DislikedOver on another thread you were asked a question: GDR3k, If I opened a spreadbetting account with you and made a profit, would that profit come from Alpari (which I can't imagine you'd be best pleased about), or another source? To which you replied: Hi GDR3k, We're just an agent. Disliked{quote} Hi 4Xfactor, I’m sorry if you felt the answer to the question was not clarified. Acting as an agent implies that we are a Non-Dealing Desk (NDD) broker. We understand that a fair and transparent structure is important to you as a trader and consequently offer you NDD execution for forex and spot gold/silver. The NDD execution model allows you to trade directly with the market. You can execute your orders at the best possible price we receive from our pool of liquidity providers plus a mark-up. Mark-ups are how brokers make their money and...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Alex, Thanks for the smile ;-) I take the refusal to answer the question directly, coupled with Shrike's post as a, YES. YES Alpari does take the opposite side of its clients trades. Until you convince me otherwise. I was watching this video lately, and this ex Goldman Sach's trader advises all traders not to have or open accounts with brokers who engage in such tactics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h3lByx59ns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoIJZEbOLuc Q: "Which criteria would you use to find the right broker? A:...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi 4Xfactor, Thank you for your post. While I appreciate your concerns, what you have stated is incorrect. There really isn't much more I can add to what I have already clarified in my previous posts - we are an NDD broker. Our execution model allows you to trade directly with the market. Disliked{quote} Their model \"allows\" you to trade directly with the market, doesn't always mean you are actually trading directly with the market. I think it's pretty obvious the answer is \"Yes, they take the opposite side of their clients trade\". How often do they do it? Who knows.Ignored
DislikedCan I ask anyone and everyone about account types please and if there are better options for my trading. I am currently Spread Betting with Alpari so obviously this is tax free. Generally the spread is 2.8 points on my market of choice EURCHF. I execute short term scalping trades which sometimes have a Profit Target between entry and exit excluding spread of 8 to 9 points. Once you add the spread then it's costing me 30% per trade both for winners and losers. I see Alapri offer lots of account types and some of these offer a lower spread - some...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Lover Man, Thank you for your post. If you would like to gain access to tighter spreads, I would recommend looking into the either our MT5 ECN account or MT4 Pro account which offer lower transaction costs through a reduced spread/commission combination. The transaction cost is dependent on the amount of volume you transact on a monthly basis, so transaction cost decrease as your volumes...Ignored
