What are the most volatile pairs to trade?

I was wondering which are the most volatile pairs to trade(excluding gold/silver/oil since US traders cant trade em x.x)

I know JPY pairs move a bunch and GBP pairs tend to move a lot too. What do you guys think/know?

I think you have missed EU and other EU related pairs. Those are highly volatile and many people like to trade with them.

Among the majors, with not so high spreads ... definitely GBP pairs. GBP/NZD, GBP/AUD, GBP/CAD, GBP/JPY, GBP/CHF
Volatile beasts!! You want to have a look at interests/swaps aswell, for instance being long GBP/AUD can be eyewateringly expensive!!

Have a look at nordic or exotic pairs otherwise.

SEK/NOK pairs move a lot
COT: The precious data ignored

USD/MXN

Watch out these two .

Bad side is that I've heard a rumor that those exotic pairs are paid only by 10% . Or something like that ( I don't know how to explain , English is my second language )

But to tell you a real thing I did with those 2 pairs

1 Lot - TP 200 pips , made only 117-118 $ .

1 Lot = 10 $ / pip - that would have been normal .

EDIT : My favourite pairs are those : EJ , EA , EN , GJ , GA , GN . When those 6 pairs move , You don't need another pair . Only to be on good side when they move

put this indi on your charts, and you take your own conclusions..

Install the Display Info All Pairs indicator to display the ADR of a whole range of pairs all at once. Set the ADRDays lookback setting to whatever you want, but 5-7 days is a good enough benchmark.

Mine is set to show ADR (with ADRDays=6) and bid/offer spread. The pairs are sorted by ADR size and only shows ADR>=65 and spread=<3.0 pips.

As you can see (based only on my settings), it would seem GBPUSD is the most volatile of the pairs I'm looking at for now, and AUDCAD the least, relatively speaking.

ADR is not exactly a scientific volatility measure, but should serve as a usable rule of thumb.

Do you have this ADR indi still in use? If so, is it possible to get a picture of your indi-settings? Thanks a lot!

any kind of trading pair can make you volatile if you are not experienced about it. so try to be experienced by using demo accountant more and more.
