Here ya go, I finally got it right. Check the MT4 snapshot. This one actually still gained, commission included. I created an excel for 2 layer SL/TP Hedge, and 5 layer SL/TP hedge. You can make more with the 2 layer, but I think with the 5 layer is safer because it takes sl/tp earlier. In case the market suddenly whipsaw you around, at least you may have gotten some winners off earlier with the 5.

The MT4 snapshot is from a 2 layer SL/TP hedge which gained $79.24 with commission already deducted.

Make sense now?

Glad you like it Mario. I have a ribbon made up of a 34 and 50 SMA. I also have the 100 SMA on there in green. I go back and forth on this one however. I have changed it to 70 SMA on my most current chart. It runs tighter to the ribbon but offers entries a little sooner. it also copies the 9,40,52 Ichi pretty well. I go back and forth between those two MAs honestly. Will probably stick with 70 for now I attached the same chart with the 70 SMA on it for you to see. The difference is small. The reason this MA is green is because it is the "money line". I use a traditional mentality of below=sell and above = buy. I like simple MA on this M1 best. The other indies are the TMA bands, as shown by Fav. I actually created this off of his H1 template so I could check higher TF bands. I do refer to the M5. M15 and H1 chart first thing before I go to the M1 chart. I also have the Babon, set to 21, the BH indies, as shown earlier in this thread, and a pivot indie, set to my timezone so that it matches the globally accepted pivots of the day. This can be verified at actionforex.com.

Entry is pretty obvious I think. Let's take a short for example. I am looking for the price to fall through the ribbon and the 70. This will change the Babon form white to red. Then I prefer to wait for price to retrace to the ribbon or to the 70. watch the candles (yes, they work in a M1 TF) Then take the trade. I like for the Babon to change to red again too! This generally means I will be good for 5 - 10 pips. I really look for this after price has pierced the M15 TMA. In fact sometimes, when I feel aggressive enough, I will enter on confirmed divergence of the BH. Even before it pierces the ribbon, I will sometimes enter. It is riskier, so I lower my risk and am looking for a larger number of pips. I only need 2 - 3 of these trades to make my nut for the day.

I really like the Babon set at 21. You can see how well it guides, especially in combination with the ribbon and 70! In fact, I have thought of running a test and taking the pivots off the chart to clean it up more and really just focus on the TMA, round numbers, babon, and SMAs.

Hope that helps! I have to get to work ( trying to go to trading full time and this template, along with FAV and DNA, are getting me closer ) so I cannot post the template or indies right now. Let me know if you need them.

This is good, Im happy I found this thread. The problem I have is that when I try to download an indicator I get its properties opening as if I want to edit it and I dont know what to do. Can somebody please help me.

So easy, look at the SL Inc (Stop loss increment) and TP Inc (Target profit increment). With the excel sheet shown below a hedge will be opened at -35 pips below entry, then it will start to taper off the loosing trade in increment of 7 pips while the winner will start to take profit at increment of (7+12.6) pips. Get it? While it's slowly tapering the winners and losers, the winners are slowly taking more in profit and in the end it turns up to positive $28 PNL which covers spread and commission. Again, this only works if the trend keeps going the opposite way of your original trade. This 5 layer SL/TP will work better at a higher time frame because there's less fake outs and whipsaw, like maybe the 15 min TF at least. So, with this hedge stop I think it's better than using a SL as with this you got a chance to break even instead of a loss.

I have found another Trade Manager tool and a free one which might also be able to handle this type of hedging. Gonna test it on Monday.

If you still don't get it I will quit FF

True the 5 layer may not work for scalping as the tp and sl is too close, some slippage may cause it to loose instead of breaking even. That is why i think its for a swing trader trying to break even from a trade. For a scalper I think the 2 layer tp/sl hedge might be better. You can also try hedging a hedge with this calculation and keep doing it until it finally becomes a profit. Where did I get all these wild ideas from?

Something is fishy about this IC Markets broker, my target is 8.7 pips and it went my way yet it only gave me 3.5 pips in profit... I'm glad it's only demo otherwise if its live I would really be pis*** off. Don't tell me its slippage duh there's no slippage in demo and there's no slippage on a limit order either! Also, the trade list said I got stopped instead of getting my sell limit hit... WTF! Something is wacked here...

Any news about this IC Markets broker? I even opened an account with them but I haven't traded with them yet...

Is this one of those brokers who cheat their customers?

Ok, I figured out what the problem is, its this setting on this trade manager I use. It's a stepping stop enabled at 3.5 pips. So its not the brokers fault its my noobness. sorry sorry

It works, I made 50+ trades and after all trades are cleared and done account remained at break even, which is the purpose of the testing, is just to break even.

So it is better than a stop loss, start it after the trend is confirmed. If no trend just let it sit there until one trend starts.

Does anyone know a broker that guarantees the price of entry?
I'm working with stop orders and it is so important to me to find a broker who have no slippage!
