If this scenario plays out the new bottom will be 'buyable' with some certainty for some serious upside. However one scenario at a time...

I think cotton is set to go higher based upon daily & monthly.
Possibly retest recent highs.

Hi Srt thanks for your post. I was watching an ew analysis of cotton online somewhere and like you the aurthor put in a convincing argument that it will rocket. I must be in when it does that. I will post a chart of my thoughts later today

Thanks for visiting the thread.
About your question. We are traders and nothing is sure until it has happened. No one can tell when the selling is over but technical analysis can help us to weigh the probabilities that the turn has come. If the downtrend on my chart is broken to the upside the the probabilities are high that the selling is over.

If we go to the daily chart there is a hammer on the chart. Another trader will look at the hammer at support and say that is probability enough for him/her that the selling is over and buy the upside breakout of the hammer. It is all about our personal trading tolerance and persona.

will put up a short term chart and possible low risk trade in the next post

Whats your comment on GOLD Daily chart, can we see possible H&S pattern forming out, or you think shoulders are not equidistant to be valid pattern?

Thanks for visiting and following the thread. I almost did put up the chart about gold. If I put up one my chart with a H&S on it I would be called 'Mr H&S'

I am soo bearish gold at the moment. and think this pattern will play out to the downside. Yes there are times when we get a perfect pattern wit the straight nexkline, equal shoulders but most times it is the rough one we get.

Fundamentally another reason I believe gold is going down is this. I believe gold has somehow lost its hedging and 'safety' characteristic. How can gold be going down with all this US problems. We should be at 1700 by now if gold was what it was in , say 10 years ago. So imho I am not buying gold until I see 1420 cleared to the upside
