Down to 158 then 156 but when ? We can expect clear vision just before Tokyo close, Nationwide HPI m/m is the upcoming and only one GBP report today but this Friday and London will do something ...!

At this time GJ should be in the very final move of its current correction before it starts on its fall down into the 156 area. The final move HAS to be over the previous high of 159 and preferably over 159.2. Assuming it breaks over 159, it will probably not go up too far - even 159.3 would be OK, but probably not over the top at 160..

Failure to break over 159 in the next few hours of trading would not be a good look for the bullish outlook, but, well, we'll see how it works out.

But then, along with others here, I remain but a humble retail trader who knows not much of what's going on.

158.21....has held four times....in a row....I wonder if that means something.....I'll keep track of this....the xxx.21 is a critical barrier.

I'm thinking this could be a good setup for a weekend gap up. It has been a very difficult trading week.

smash, the gbpjpy on the shorter term basis looks toppy however, on the intermediate term and longer term time frames ..it still wants to go higher

You'll be bang on the money if it's a gap of more than about 180 pips! That'll clear it all the way north.

Whilst it SHOULD get to about 159.5~7 on Monday, if it can't get over 158.7/8, we may have a bit of an an issue.
