I trade something similar at the London open. I believe it's called the Early Bird strategy. It provides great results.

Yes, it's part of my "arsenal" of EA'a.
It's profitable if you keep your TP proportional to ATR. Don't make it a constant value and don't be too "greedy".
If you are trading multiple major pairs - note that the USD is always in the same direction.

Trading times are according to your broker's time (your chart time).
This strategy is traded between US banks close and Tokyo open.
You need to change trading time if your broker deviate from those times during daylight saving time.

OP's EA is definitely from 0700 - 0900 Eastern US time. So it's 0700 EST during standard time and 0700 DST during daylight savings time. OP's concept was New York open which moves around seasonally.

There are other EA versions in this thread with different philosophies and different times.

Can somebody please help me out with this strategy. I have two questions

1. I am not sure what time to enter into this trade; ''Draw a vertical line at 14:00 time on your Chart.
Draw a vertical line at 16:00 time on your Chart.'' is this the same on all MT4 charts?

2. how long should I leave this trade open if none of my buy stop or sell stop orders open.

this strategy works equally well for 1am to 9 pm interval. i am currently backtesting friday close with even number termination as the date. it might be very well considering the meal time of david cameron and of barack obama as the interval. worth spending time on it wright?

Hello to all
The best way to manage this strategy is to wait until a trend has been set by the London market. This is a 15 min. Euro/USD chart. Using a 21 EMA, you simply follow the trend. Above the 21 ema, you buy, and below the 21 ema you sell. If the price of the market looks like it is going to make a cross of the 21 ema,you wait for the closing of 5 candles above or below the line, the new trend has been set most likely. The time frame for this trade is from the 0745 a.m-until 10:30 or so, New York market time. By trading at 7:45 am NY time, most news releases are avoided.
Exits on trades are up to you. I set a take profit at a minimum of 30 pips and my stop loss is set at 30 pips. I trade a .30 lot.
The New York market usually peaks around 10:30-11:00am central time, I'm in the central time zone. Most of the time a climax bar will show around that time.
You also have the option of playing the retracement for a few bars down the other side.
I will make between 30-50 pips on a regular basis,$120-$150 dollars on the $3/pip level.
It takes a lot of effort for the market to change a trend, thus is a strong and profitable way to trade.
You can place a RSI at 7 and 30-50-70 levels. Watch the price action(VSA),I use the Market Facilitation Index and watch for the Green Bars at the over bought and over sold areas of the RSI. A default stochastics can be applied also. It is not complicated to trade like this. Just go with the Trend boys and girls.

One other thing, You will need to put up current Fib lines. I use this this to analyze the trade. What is the fib level we are trying to reach and what is the trend.

PSS final input on trading the New York open. Market Price most often hovers around or on the 21 EMA at the New York open. 5 bars closing above or below the 21 ema is a very strong indication of trend. That's an hour and 15 min(5 bars). Don't take my word for the starting line being at the 21 ema each day on the NY open ,check it out on previuos trading sessions on the 15 min. chart, Euro/USD.
One other thought has entered my mind, a trader could play the market getting to the starting line each morning, prior to the NY open. Euro up, short it back to 21 ema starting line. Euro down, buy for a trade moving up to the starting line. Just a thought for maybe a scalp before NY opens.

I follow this strategy with Frankfut open. My open range is from 00:00 to 09:00 in German Time!
I only trade EURUSD, GBPUSD and EURJPY, because it needs volatility! I also watch pivot points and high and low from previous day.
If there is a Level of resistance you have to be carefull.
The strategy works verry well!
