Yes you did well on that one. Congrats

I once got a top perfectly to the pip. Last year some time I think. Best part is that it was a pending order.
The easiest ones to grab are the ones that the market at large is not generally aware of, otherwise you'd probably get slipped by a few pips.

if i remember correctly you called 88 as bottom.. and you were bullish with fundemental reasons to support your buy position..

i said i was 75% certain that 0.88 would be a temporary bottom for the year....doesnt mean we cannot close the year at 0.88 by year end or something.... allowing to make a call of 0.85 next year...

and my call at 0.88 as temporary low is due to daily price action hinting it was enough drop.... and i was 75% certain and im right....
went up to 0.95 where i observed it struggled to break above a 38.2% retracement drawn form the high of 1.05 to low of 0.88... thats sign enough for m that the downtrend continues and that the upwards move was merely a retracement.

Well, money is simply an item a group of people deem valuable. It doesn't have to be in the paper sense. Native Americans traded animal hides and fur and other essentials a few hounded years ago. Today, I personally have little value of that, but someone in the tundra may.

I mean it is kind of silly to think. For instance, we come to gather around this idea that a shiny, heavy metal found in the ground called gold is worth 1,300 an oz. because enough people have deemed it to be so, while some may not have a use for it.

Currency can be either paper or other. It is only valuable to those individuals that use it. I could trade you for one item I need, and vice versa without "money" exchange because the idea that what you have is valuable to me and vice versa is now the medium of exchange.

Oh MY GOD, you totally spoke the word out of my mouth... i have been saying im not a believer of gold when it was up at 1700.. heck i wont even wana own any gold down at 800...

Demand and supply model suggests the Cost of producing a bar of gold and the value added up for the gold makes gold only worth 600 or so... no bloody reason to be so high priced...

Fundamentals however say that GOLD does not depreciate and it does not exhaust over time.... a gold bar is a gold bar no matter how many thousands of years... heck in fact a bar of gold can outlive humans long before we're gone....
when a gold is dug up, made into a coin... its still gona be a piece of gold coin... so really Supply of Gold in that sense should be considered Infinite.... its IN-FINITE because GOLD IS NOT A FINITE RESOURCE OVER TIME..... OIL is.... WATER is.... FOOD is..... but not Gold....

and when SUPPLY is INFINITE.... makes GOLD WORTHLESS no matter how many people are in demand for it....
thats my view.... a quite a controversial one... because people are just gona tell me supply of gold is not infinite, but they are wrong... supply of gold is INFINITE... its just in reality, the supply of gold is being constricted by manipulated means.... thats why Gold is up where it is.... but heck Remove the manipulated supply of gold and you will see gold DIE

BTW trading 1 item for another is called Barter Trade which couldnt happen millions of years ago when we were apes.... but now with the internet, it is quite possible to bring back bartering as a means of trade.... heck i read an article that a kid had a spoon and he started to exchange item for item from spoon to a drill, from drill to a toolbox, etc etc.... and he ended up with a car.... by bartering....
i remember reading this article but i dont remember where ive seen it... maybe someone can search it up or something...

Just so there is no confusion, this is my game plan. So we may be pretty much on the same page. The only question is (How high before crash bang boom!!!?)

Are you still short bias for this pair: AUD/NZD ? I am short.
I need your confirmation here:
people keep saying this pair has formed double bottom already.

I don't see it on any time frame, can you take a look please.

I will tell you one thing, that gold nugget people have been saving will be worth a lot less when there is a scarcity of food and water. When everybody is starving, wtf want's a flake of gold?

Gold is like Canada's maple syrup, really! The quantities produced do not reflect the quantities on float. Gold corps, like Canada and maple syrup, control the outflow of the commodity. If the amount of gold mined where available, gold would be FAR less than it is now. Diamonds are on the same principle. Furthermore, the current price of gold largely reflects the paper money traded.

I just never got the gold thing. It's nice in theory, but say your government and currency collapses. People will be displaced and economic havoc will likely take place. Gold may stop a little hurt in the short-term. I think the VAST majority of gold owners do not have enough to do much of anything. Who's to say instead of 1,300 an oz, it goes to 1,300 for 6 oz?

Then again, as they try to lug their gold from tent city to tent city, I'm pulling tomatoes out of my garden. I may not be able to rock Hugo Boss suits like I use to, but I'll be surviving while others die of stupidity.

People have lived without gold for 1,000s of years but now we seem to think it's the end all be all

Rivertrader, I am out of this trade and will wait further up to short when price tells me. All I can say is ozzie pairs are very difficult to trade. Just take a look at a/u. I am looking at other pairs. Sorry, can't help you much

Rivertrader ,the shaded area is one I wd pay attention and see what price does here. If rejection with a bearish candle on H1 or H4, preferably on H4 ,then I will short.

Ha! There in lies the answer! Everything is always based on time frames, but we so seldom mention them when we decide if we are bullish or bearish. I trade daily/hourly on a weekly scale...in that I usually hold a trade a week maximum. Monthly is no concern of mine (today)- that could change lol

Anything under an hour is just noise to me. Tried that whole scapling bull....cost me about 20% of my account. Thank God for good money management.
