Wow, what a ride! SSBO caught everything, right from the start. I know most of my regulars got the same results. Very hard not to.

hi,
I'm a new member on this forum. I apologize because perhaps you are going to think i post basic questions.
I would like to knows if there is a basic table witch can show me what are actual basic parameters for a least major pairs (others if possible). I searched for something like that but didn't find it. Perhaps i should take parameters on the last screen capture?

I am interested in using the push notification feature. I have researched the thread and although there is a picture posted of an example, it is not clear whether the notification now shows the Stop Loss.

Can anyone using this feature confirm that SL is included in the notification, together with the entry price & TP.?

PS - I do not yet have a mobile device capable of accepting the notifications, so I wanted to check this before i get an iphone!

I've been studying your strategies for a few weeks, looks pretty interesting.
One question I didnt find a clear answer in the thread (or maybe there isnt one), about the back/forward testing period for parameters optimization.
Do you have any recommendations? and what parameters are more at risk to be optimized, I am pretty sure you guys have optimized a lot during that period of time

Oh goodie, another troll added to my ignore list.

1. Asking for 'parameter recommendations' is the same as asking for my custom template settings, which the OP forbids asking.

2. Stating that you didn't find a clear answer or reference to a backtesting period is a dead give-away that you haven't even read the thread, since it is mentioned MANY times by me in great detail.

These are both idiotic moves on your part. Either one gets you banned. Doing both at the same time only makes me wish I could ban you twice.

Thank God I only have to put up with you morons occasionally now, instead of every fucking day like before. People like you are the reason why bucket shops and the 95% exist. If you can't even spend 1 month studying a (great) system... if all you can do is ask for (and expect) short cuts from the system starter... then you will no doubt in the end get everything that you as a trader deserve: NOTHING.

As a primary source of income? What a strange question. With 95% of all traders never reaching profitable status, it seems to me that just finding a system that will keep you solvent when every one else is dying off is a very good starting point.

Regardless, I doubt that there are even 100 FF members that are full time traders who live solely off their trading accounts, no matter what system they use.

Hi All

What a thread. And what an indicator the Authroized SSBO is.

I've read the thread from start to finish, which is no mean feat. I've also read chunks of it multiple times.

Don't slate me - I know the answer is somewhere in the thread somewhere but, for the life of me I can't find it - could someone re-iterate what a Trade Set is? Is is a set of trades based on a single CZ?

A trade set is How many trade you require to complete the CV trade. For example if you indicator is set to 1 trade only then you will trade once....if set to 6 then you can do 6 trades per CV. The more trades the more capital you risk.

Agent Orange, don't let the trolls waste your time. If you had the answer, then everyone reading the thread should have known it as well. I have seen your name at the bottom of the screen lately. Spread Betta, never. But if he had been putting in the same time as you, then he wouldn't be in here asking for handouts, now would he? The key words from his post he could have gotten by just reading the last 3 or 4 pages -- which is exactly what he did do. The rest of it was just gold plated bullshit to try and win me over. But you notice I didn't respond to his question, right? After managing this thread for so long, I can spot a time waster from a mile out.

As for you though, I look forward to seeing your charts when you are ready!

After reading the thread and taking extensive notes: looking at the charts posted and modifying setting to find "sweet spots", I have 24 pairs of currencies attached to my charts. WAY TOO MANY !!!!

So How do I choose which charts to keep and which pairs do I eliminate???

I have done a spreadsheet noting the Pairs, Weekly Frequency, 1st Trade success, 2nd Trade success etc. Trading average success per trade, and Pip capture. But my question is "How do I weight these statistics to provide me with the best pairs to trade". Taking my open charts from 24 to something more manageable like 4 pairs
For example is pip capture more important than Frequency? What about 1st Trade success % vs Overall Trade %.

In the end I allocated each category equally and gave the best pair in each category 10 points, 2nd best 9 points etc in all categories: tallied the points and now trade my top 4.

But I'm not sure this was the best way to go about the process. Does anyone have suggestions?

The only way to do this is to add a couple of columns to your spreadsheets.

You need to note position size and profit/loss for every trade. Add that profit on to your imaginary account balance and go to the next trade.

Basically, you want a set of stats which tells you how much MONEY you would have made from each pair, assuming consistent money management and risk.

And good for you on doing the hard work and building up a meaningful set of statistics. You're already way ahead of 95% of people!!
