Hello Ichi traders,

I have a question about 'KIJUN'

Below picture is for eur/usd, and the yellow line is 'kijun'

I can see that since the rise of the latest trend 'kijun' was totaly flat & trend was below of kijun,
Now when trend crosses kijun and goes well above kijun, yet kijun is flat & yet trend is still going up kijun does the opposite trick

WHY?
Y kijun has to behave like that? What is meaning of such behaviour? what it is the indication?

hello,

need some guidance on this. i know how to read ichi, also read hundreds of pages of this thread. i traded this setup last week and i had no losing trades, for the h4, h1, m30, m15 where under the cloud, so i just look for a strong sell signal.

but now, im a bit confused on what deals to look for. since 4 of the timeframes, except h4 has price trading above the cloud, h1 is about to break above. in this situation, do i just look for buying opportunity? thanks.

First off I would use the Ichimoku Signal Indicator so you can see whats happen on all TF's in one chart

My thought process works like this

1. Trend, I check the Daily chart
2. Take note Kumo/TS&KS/Cspann on the H1 and H4 charts
3. When I have an idea where the major areas of interest are I wait in the M5 for an entry (TS/KS strong cross etc..)

Signal indicator is in the corner, its very useful

Since it was made in Japan, it is best suited for JPY pairs IMO (of course it works on other pairs as well). I had a chance to walk through a trading desk in Japan and ALL the screens had Ichimoku on them. If you watch CNBC Asia and when the reporter comes out, you can also see Ichimoku on the screens in the background.

Hello All,

I know we have a number of people who write programs here. Has anyone tried writing a program where an alert is sent say when Tenkan Sen crosses Kijun Sen on a particular time frame.

Please let me know, I would like to test this.

I think with a Sen-Cross too.

I searched this thread and found nothing. I have not seen the indicator that I mentioned above that comes with an alert that is sent to your cell phone. I believe it can be done. I have some interesting thoughts on this. I believe Kinonen is a programmer here, please contact me.

Its the IchimokuAlert_v3.
Seems to me as the Indicator allows eMailAlerts, never used it this way.
Or did you expect an other kind of message to your cell phone?

Hello Spekulant,

Thank you very much for your posting of the indicator. Since I am quite technologically challenged I guess these are two different files depending on whether I use ex4 or mg4.

Now my next challenge is going to be to install it on my platform. My broker is FXCM and I use their Marketscope platform. I will confirm when I have installed it.

Have you? I believe it can provide some good results.

Ahhhh, Im sorry!

This are source-files for a Metatrader4-platform.

I have absolutely no experience with FXCM or Marketscope.
Maybe an FXCM/Marketscope-user can give you a proper answer.


If you have access to the FXCM-MT4 or Demo-MT4 an you insert the files in

MetatraderDirectory-> experts -> indicators

But i realized that I have no idea how to setup the email-alert.....

So we are back to square one. I appreciate your willingness to help. So I make a request again to the very helpful programmers that we have here.

Please let me know if one can programme an indicator as I mentioned in my previous request. We can all benefit from testing this.
