Thanks for all the charts & your analysis. Nice short trade on the corn too.

I removed the post I had about my corn trading. I remain bullish corn over the long term but not right to show that on your thread where you're trading based upon the charts with a SL in place. I might be early with my entry in corn but I'll add more option positions if it falls more & there's some panic in the market to increase the premium. My positions are more of an investment & not trading. I'll hold on for months. I have many fundamental reasons for being bullish but looking at the chart it's not the prettiest one I've seen so won't try to sell someone on the technicals. We'll slowly be getting more data now directly from the crops coming out of the fields so see how accurate the USDA report was. Even with a record corn crop, I feel there's too many factors that will change the market to the bullish side.

If the dollars breaks to the downside on Tuesday with the tapering news, commodities & commodity currencies(Aus. & Cad.) could rally. China data's been improving lately too so more support for the Aussie.

Thanks again for your post. Feel free to post anything you do on the chart. We are traders and we will be wrong attimes. I have a friend on this thread (Rehab) whose posts always make me think of how convinced I am of my trading thoughts. And many a time (like the corn trade) I would own up to losing money on the markets. I dont put strict entries and exits because this is a discussion thread not a head swelling thread or a chest beating one. At the end of the day we all have to do our own due dilligence. Your contribution on this thread Srt is much appreciated. Keep posting please

Larry Summers

An example of how fundamentals affect what we do as trading

Dollar weakened considerably as it was announced that Larry Summers was out of the race for Bernanke's job. The market, including myself, see this as a possible delay in the tapering process hence the gap up in the value of the euro, gbp, aud and all the other main currencies. The stock markets gapped up as well.
By the way this should'nt have happened because he (larry) did not have full support of the powers that be only Obama's support. So it shouldnt have been a surprise he dropped out of the running

What happens now? Perhaps Bernanke will stay on some more. He cant start tapering and the pass the bag to the next person

Sorry it is not a technocal post but I do love this thinking sometimes

The Larry Summers Effect on the chart. Will the gap close? Either way the US$ has got its work cut out to rally now. The breakdown point is now serious resistance

Hi Olu: I am bored of the $ and the forex, I looked at FXCM USOil CFD. It is my first time . This chart is bearish IMHO: the sym triangle just broke down and the issue of syria faded away. It is a pity that expiration date of FXCM is tomorrow.

I hear you afout forex. It is all over the place. You are right about usoil. I am short already looking for much lower prices. This one is so volatile though...
About the CFD that is what I am trading as well but my one is based on the october futures and so still has a bit of time to run

Hi Olu, $ has broken the trendline and seems bearish to me, but Stochastic is in overbought and turning up- i hate that contradiction. I have been watching Oil for some weeks now, yes it is volatile, but seems to follow well technical analysis.

Yes Srt I see it. I did profit from the corn though. I believe corn is going to 400 at least. There will be a lot of sell stops right where price is right now which will propel price downwards.

Coffee could not break the downtrend line. Still looking out for a bottom though. It shouldnt be far from where we are now at imho

BTW: Cocoa looks ready for the downside now...
