Your approach has a high probability of success...i put all my eggs on the GJ..jumped ship some minutes ago....The NFP is an event i dnt trust so much...

we are still in sell mode, as long as the UJ stays below 100, all its yen counterparts should stay bearish....

today will be a whipsaw day, but shorts looking good, i will take positions after nfp or on monday. at present 925 is red, 1230 2nd bar red now, am in short, stop loss is 174 just showed up, take it easy guys, market will nit run away. those who are short can keep thier sl above yesterdays high. enjoy

weak USD with a strong divergence...this should take the GU,EU,AU...UP, and USDCHF, USDCAD down..ideally, this should lead to a long basket...but a weak USD means a weak UJ, so the yen pairs should dive/dip...all this is irrelevant till the NFP data is out, and the market settles..happy pips..

Positioning happening for news, many newbies will be decimated today by the whipsaws, money management and risk management only can make u survive in this jungle. capital preservation must be the first goal of an trader.

need a USD only basket to trade such news, will be one way traffic. i am working on it .

news is out, yen pairs dived...USD weakened...times like this you realize the benefits of sticking to a technical system and disregarding all news events...

Imho, the only way to avoid this to to trade JPY pairs and USD pairs separately...Trading both groups provides plenty diversification, alot of times both groups are in sync..sometimes they are not..

the beauty of this basket trading is the total cumalative profit, rather then be worried which one is in loss or profit, however each person has to know thier limitations, core 5 trading would be good too as its low on spraeds and on capital .

Hi nisha4x,

If I am not mistaken, I believe you are using T101 Basket Trader v2.3 to manage your trades. If you do not mind, could tel what your settings are for the 'Trailing & BE+Lock' parameters. I found that bit a bit confusing and not sure what is what?

hi dan

i have not setup the ea yet, so i am not sure, gvc can answer this. i will b setting up this ea during weekend on my vps, so can see what it does after a week, then only we can analyze. I use the present t101 v 2.3 only to open and close trades based on magic number, other than that i dont use an other function.

Thanks for your post.

Note,i start to use this system not for long time just

start to understand the EA and other stuff.

Anyway will be very good if somebody more advance can

answer the post of danjuma, will be very useful for many

new entry like me.

The point about the pairs in loose:

I notice that the arrows of the indi "14 pair HAS" respect

perfectly the directions of the pairs.

Example if we are selling like now the GBPUSD arrows is up

and the color in the EA is RED and we are loosing money

NZDUSD arrow is up and the color of the EA is red and we

are loosing money.

So....now, i don't know if my theory is silly...because as i

told you im playing around for short time and maybe is only

a newbie idea but, it will be possible integrate in some

way the "14 pair indi" with the order in the EA?

Or maybe make a script that can read the "14 pair indi".So we can follow the right order Sell and Buy?

Please let me know what you guys think.

I am not sure why it did not take a trade, it should have as per the rules.
I will have a look for bugs over the weekend and repair where necessary.

As for the trailing function it trails in $ and not pips. Have a look for the "T101 Basket Trader v2".pdf that I posted in this thread.

It is seldom that you will get all 14 pairs to trade in the same direction, but that is the beauty of the system. If the trade goes against you then you will find that the draw down is not that big because there will normally be a few currency pairs in profit in the losing basket.
You will find that the longer a basket runs in profit, the more pairs eventually turn to profit as well.

I have been toying with the idea for a while to make a Basket EA to trade single pairs in the basket as per the HAS signals......
The coding may be beyond my capabilities though....lol
