I took a short at the top of the median line. But beware, I am trading with Oanda in units. In this case 10. So I am trading very very light as a means to learn instead of learning by means of demo-ing. I have some other pairs on which I drew forks a few days ago and I am beginning to see the value of them.
Also I read a lot of the articles on medianline and watched som video's. Pfff, so much information. I think I can learn to plan my trades now. Until now it was more like reacting on the movements of the market as they happen. Your charts are very instructive. Thanks for them.

you might want to expand the chart a bit and look at a mod schiff from the feb low and contrast that with the same from the may high

Work slowly and consistently and with focus. Things will fall into place and you will start to become very consistent. I would say that one lesson I have learned is WAIT for the trade. Wait for price to tell you to enter and then use strict money management to exit. There are articles on the median line site about using stops correctly. Read it and internalize it and make sure that you use proper "Surgeon Like" Money management as Tim calls it. it will help you in the long run from trades moving against you. I usually move my stop to BE pretty quickly after price takes off in the direction I want it to go.

thanks for the charts eaglestar - one thing that stands out to me is that perhaps you could think about looking at a slightly bigger perspective - i appreciate your charts and i hope you don't mind the comment

eg the AUD 240 (shown below) - yours seems slightly "scrunched up" whereas price is obviously in a longer term downtrend and to me this stepping back a bit presents a much clearer picture. there is some evidence of bottoming and you could potentially draw an uptrending fork as i have done with the blue one but there is no guarantee that the c is yet in place.

likewise with the EURJPY 240 you have shown - look at the video i posted above at the 11 1/2 minute mark and imvho you will see that the bigger picture is the more complete one - obviously you could drop down to lower timeframes for tighter trading

with respect randolf - to my eyes it's a bit of a mess. and what vehicle and timeframe is it?

perhaps you need to simplify things a bit and look at the general trend....

you don't have to draw a fork from every pivot, just try to discern the trend and work off that - just a thought.....

i know about schiffs but i don't know where your A is ......

a schiff moves the origin 50% of the vertical difference between the A and the B = not the case here
a modified schiff does the same plus moves the horizontal 50% of the way too = also not the case here
