There has never been a day where EUR/USD doesn't move for at least one fraction of pip. Not at the beginning of time, not at the end. That's one 100% change, guaranteed. =) Anyone willing to bet against this?

See that's the thing about me Slim, I pick the reversal at swing points, but I have no idea how far price will move, so my TP is always conservative. I don't understand what warrants big and long sustained move. I'm looking at studying more in depth on the fundamentals. People keep saying this is the reason behind major prolonged moves.

It is a concern my friend. I've thought about it for more than a minute.

OK, Ishtana, so you're trying to prove a point. As I said..... the market moves up or down...
Even that isn't 100% guaranteed. There's no need to go into detail there as you're speaking
of probability versus guarantee.
The two are HUGELY different.

That's a great idea, but rather than setting a conservative TP, have you tried moving your S/L
(or trailing stop, as it may by). Well.... it probably doesn't matter that much.

There are times when you can study what's happening
and it matters
other times nothing matters except your trading method
and what you're willing to lose (win)

Capisce Godfather.

Well, to start with I have to share my computer with 4 people so my EA cannot manage my trade.

I don't have access to VPN, and don't know how to set one up, and most probably cannot yet afford one.

I know for sure that the regular trailing stop doesn't work now that I know how price behaves.

The only thing that works for me is manual jump stop loss but that means I have to check the screen almost every hour. That, I can't afford.

I'm not sacrificing my life outside forex for forex. I love forex, but I'm not obsessed by it.

Almost anyone that's trading can afford VPN and it's easy to set up.
I don't have one because I don't want it yet.

LOL. To call someone a Godfather is a sign of respect. Don't you watch the movie Godfather? It's like one of the best mafia movies I've seen in my entirely life.

Dude, I'm not a millionaire. Do you think if I have the money I won't do something about it? I'm a struggling musician for Pete's sake. Do you think I'm not longing to have a computer on my own, preferably a trading station of my own? With multiple monitors and fancy stuff? Although my trading is winning, I can't withdraw any money yet. It would be like pulling out the root as soon as you see the first blossom.

That's the funny thing about trading. You can be successful, and yet still broke. It's gonna take a while for me to make a sizeable capital and take anything above that level. When I trade 10 lots then keep winning 20-30 pips like I'm doing now, then I can start to sort my own and others affairs.

I spend day and night studying forex. I have sacrificed that much in that way. But if I got a booty call, I don't want to sacrifice that for 30 pips =) That's too valuable to sacrifice. LOL! I prefer tits to pips.

And I wouldn't sacrifice a gig for 30 pips either. There's something therapeutic in playing music together. It's the chicken soup for the soul. It is irreplaceable by anything.

Everyone is always a struggling something. If you're determined enough...... or maybe if I piss you off enough
by saying that you're wasting your time.... maybe you'll get what you want.
So what's it gon'na be .... you gon'na whine and cry 'cuz "you're torn between 2 lovers"... forex and music

Well..... I'd choose tits (and sex) over Forex as well but I'm just thinking.......

Market has never changed. Trending, ranging, swinging, spikes........ are just part of its routine.

What I see are tons of opinions about what "change" means to different people. Zero quantitative insight This is quite sad as something like market change can be easily defined and calculated. Does anyone on this forum care about analysing the statistical properties of the pairs they trade (distribution of returns, market efficiency, serial correlations, etc) ? Is there no one with a serious quantitative insight here?

I agree to some of what you said ... But ... beside adapting to how the market changes if you follow good money management tools and sticking only to the basics ( Support and Resistance and Trendlines ) you'll be more than fine. And the adapting will be easier like never before. After all this is some newbie talking

The change does not affect the whole forex as an entity. We talk about trending and ultimately you need to be continually adjusting your strategies to the dynamics of the markets. Anyway nothing is steady in this tectonic shift and economic upheaval and so is forex.

Just study the pattern and see how you can integrate it with your strategies. Patience......is the key...

Direction which im interested in Is the problem and a challenge when to turn off the strategy..Im working on a TRade Manager atm and looking for a mechanical player which would consider different scenarios. Just dont know how to handle that. Im planning to see the larger picture of net positions and risk on every particular currency and ill try to limit the risk here.) Also limit repeatable trades, when already we experianced TPs or SLs.

i dont know why someones say this stupid things that market is ever changing !
Markets Never Change !The only and The Only Thing that change is Length of Movements for Example Its possible at 2008 we have 300 pip daily range at Eur/usd And in years later its possible we have 100 pips Daily range.
Markets Always and Always are the same And If one Strategy work sometimes and dont work in another period This is not by changing in markets This is by that all of these technical anaylises that we see in forums are all bullshit ,total crap ! you guys really thing that big boys or banks Trade by these stupid indicators or anything else you can see it clearly in charts ? omg !
all markets in the world have the same formula and they never change ! Any system that you cr8 work for some period and may work not at another period and why ? Because These system dont have any Relations with Formulas of financial markets ! Then all of them are randomess Some of Theme working at Trend Period And Some of Theme work at Range period , For example possible we have 3-4 years of range period in a Pair and those range systems work very good at these 3-4 years and in years later that pair will go to trend Cycle and From that time Trend Systems working very good !
Wake Up dont fool Yourself with that kind of thinks !
