Ok this is my take on your post Strat has you quite rightly never give the game away. Hopefully I will just recieve some constructive criticism!

Weekly still valid upswing after bouncing from support weekending 7/7.
Daily put in higher low with large bull candle closing above the strat shadow.
Orders placed accordingly. SL below HL.

Cheers

Well Ross, here you are again - still bonking away?

I'm impressed, you must have been studying, you got everything right, well done!

What made you come back to PASR after your last post on the flashing lights, bells and whistles, eye candy thread?

Thanks Strat progress being made then! Does No1.Opt still use the No Trade zone? Quite taken to the idea myself for these early days of the learning curve.

Never been away from your thread - its the only thread on FF to take seriously, all other threads are for light entertainment purposes only.

Hi.
I am new to this thread but have spent a lot of time with TMS and have spent a lot of time on PA and S/R and going through Strat's website education area.

Are the 2 white lines 2 orders?
Looks good .
I am just getting into demo trading with PARS so hope to be active on the thread.

If you are REALLY serious, you know where to go! Hopefully Roger (No1Optimist) will answer your question on the No Trade Zone.

Again, if you ARE serious, you won't waste time and be distracted trolling the flashing lights and eye candy threads. There are many other non trading sites for entertainment.

Wait a minute, what is this thread turning into? We have Rosso bonking away and now you groping!

Seriously, Rosso just identified where he thought my long orders would be and he was correct.

Unless it is a typographical error, you are reading but not UNDERSTANDING which is a sure sign of failure. My complete trading method is PASR - Price Action at Support and Resistance, not PARS.

Next, make sure you are only demo trading to test your UNDERSTANDING of the technicals and method. Once you have that down, move onto trading with REAL, hard earned money which is where you meet your Little People who will decide your trading future. As I have posted over and over, demo trading is about as much use as tits on a Nun!

NZDUSD And yet another quick 170+ pips coming up!

100 pips on AUDCAD, 40 pips on NZDCHF and 135 pips on NZDUSD all signaled on here 2 days ago!

Not bad for someone who DISLIKES signal services PLUS these were all high risk COUNTER TREND trades (not taught to students under 3 STARS)

Still groping in the dark but I will venture an analysis.
AUSJPY

Big Boss -
1 longterm uptrend despite a couple months down
2 above the shadow
3 looks as if it could be turning to trend up now, having hit support and just penetrated the shadow

Boss
1 has been in downtrend and passed through the shadow but has hit major resistance
2 by the end of trading today, a long tailed, short bodied bar is likely to have been formed
3 if 2 is correct then the weekly may be turning

Worker
1 is below the shadow but has hit resistance, had a decent green bar yesterday and looks like moving higher today.
2 May move up to the bottom of the shadow.

I have decided to go long on my demo account
Long at 88.03
SL 86.20 - just below the low
T 89.45 - bottom of the shadow

Thanks for the opportunity to start my brain thinking PASR.
I hope I am on the right track

Nice to see a thread trading the higher time frames instead of all those "Fast Food Pikers" trying to catch all the intraday micro swings for 20 pips..

IMO if the USDJPY Worker can close an H4 bar above 97 on this leg it may make your heart sing with a S/T bounce up to the 98~99 zone contra to the Boss's intermediate marching order to test the 94 M/T support zone..
In keeping with the recent year's tradition, the Big Boss had issued an standing order in May for another multi-yen southern march to September, and both Boss's are on the same M/T page with the exception being the 5 yen 94~101 "Boss Worker Rebellion" in June..

The AUDJPY Big Boss seems to share the same M/T sentiment with the USDJPY Big Boss.. however, looks like the Boss is ordering the Worker to perform some reverse foxtrot steps here with the Worker trying to make up his mind on whether to follow his Boss's order or hop with that beaten up Aussi Kangaroo..

Hi Strat,

I've posted here before and wanted to say much respect to a great trader. I have 2 questions which I have been looking for the answer before deciding to post on here but can't find it anywhere on here or your awesome site.

1. Is there a reason you use 63 (I think) EMA vs. the 50 EMA. I use 20 and 50 EMA, I don’t think there would be too much of a difference, but still wondering why, and do you think it makes a big difference from 50 to 63?

2. When looking for a trend, do you wait for the prior candle to close above or below the EMA's? Or just that the current candle price is above or below the EMA's?

Does anyone know where the answers are to these questions as I hate wasting peoples time, and rewriting a question that has been answered. If not I would greatly appreciate your knowledge to these questions. Many thanks.

You can't beat groping in the dark! My pal Bond used to say, "A grope in the dark leads to a f**k in the Park" and he should know he did it all the time!

AUDJPY

Big Boss -
1 longterm uptrend despite a couple months down Yes
2 above the shadow Yes
3 looks as if it could be turning to trend up now, having hit support and just penetrated the shadow Yes

Boss
1 has been in downtrend and passed through the shadow but has hit major resistance Yes
2 by the end of trading today, a long tailed, short bodied bar is likely to have been formed - DON'T JUDGE UNTIL THE BOSS CANDLE IS CLOSED
3 if 2 is correct then the weekly may be turning Yes, "MAY" is the operative word - we need CONFIRMATION before putting our money on the line.

Worker
1 is below the shadow but has hit resistance, had a decent green bar yesterday and looks like moving higher today. Yes
2 May move up to the bottom of the shadow. Yes, but at this point it is a HIGH RISK counter trend trade only to be taken by those with trading experience

I have decided to go long on my demo account - look at the Worker - UNDERSTAND that you are standing on a freeway in front of 6 lanes of 18 wheelers hurtling at you at 65 mph!
Long at 88.03
SL 86.20 - just below the low
T 89.45 - bottom of the shadow

Thanks for the opportunity to start my brain thinking PASR. It can ONLY do that if you RID it of all indicators, robots, EAs and other useless crap - your trading mind needs to be FREE.

I hope I am on the right track You are on The Path - whether it is "right" for YOU only ""YOU"" know

Dr. No eh - maybe you know my mate, Bond?

1. Is there a reason you use 63 (I think) EMA vs. the 50 EMA. I use 20 and 50 EMA, I don’t think there would be too much of a difference, but still wondering why, and do you think it makes a big difference from 50 to 63?

You use the 20 and 50 because 100 PipsADay consulted me for his threads.

Yes, there is a difference and mainly at "important" PRICE levels - I would like to explain the reasons in detail but this is fully explained on http://www.stratsforextrading.com and out of respect for subscribing students, regret I cannot disclose on here.

2. When looking for a trend, do you wait for the prior candle to close above or below the EMA's? Or just that the current candle price is above or below the EMA's?

Trend determination and Trend Trading is a whole subject in itself for which we have several threads on http://www.stratsforextrading.com and again, out of respect for subscribing students, regret I cannot disclose on here.

I'm sorry I cannot answer your questions but if YOU were a subscribing student, I'm sure you would prefer it this way. Thank you for your interest in PASR
