I agree, I wouldn't trade live before demo trading the EA to insure it works the way it should. ATM, this EA does great on backtests but doesn't work the way it should when forward testing so it's not ready yet. I don't mind the high risk because I don't risk money I can't afford to lose and I don't rely on my trading to pay bills , I just want it to work right before setting it loose with any amount of money.

Isn't that when they put the 50:1 maximum leverage in place in the US. It's also the year the economy across the globe went down the tubes. There could be any number of reasons. The numbers might be more accurate from 2008 on as well.

I believe it is. High volatility gives better result.

Can anyone get this EA to work the way it does in a backtest in forward testing and live trading. It needs to be able to track trades so it knows when to change the SL to BE. This is a great EA as is IF it worked the same as it does during a backtest.

This is a very rough version of the EA it was thrown together very fast and unfortunately it only works right in backtesting, the passive MM that occurs when MM=False is great, and all the formulas used with the default settings work fine. The entire method of tracking and placing orders might need to be completely reworked, it doesn't recognize orders it places so if you shut it down it will place duplicate orders when MT4 is restarted, it doesn't have any way to know when the first trade hits its TP so it is unable to know when to set TP to BE for the other trades, the active MM, when MM=true doesn't work, that could just be removed or replaced with the passive MM that currently occurs when MM=false and add the ability to use even lots for when MM=false.

This is a common issue because if you shut down trading platform, the whole operation is stop. The solution is you need a VPS to run it 24 hours. Now what i concern is the EA doesn't have ZZ input setting, and i don't know about the function of ZZ indicator. How does it draw the ZZ line? How does it give a valid signal for placing the orders? What is the minbars means in the setting of indicator?

I believe ZZ breakout will work with these pending orders and trailing stop loss to BE. It is a simple system anyway.

Like I said when it was created he just threw it together and hardwired everything, I really don't understand the Minbars settings all I know is the higher the Minbars setting the fewer lines it draws, but allowing user adjustment would definitely be an improvement . I have another EA that uses the swing_ZZ indicator that does allow you to change the Minbars setting. I'll post it to see if it helps. Who knows it might be easier to start with this one and remove unneeded functions and add the trading formulas and functions needed from the other one.

In my experience, strategies/ea's that work (or have great potential) seemingly generate little to none reactions, so my guess is that your ea has been modified and is making money for some people already :-) Too bad I know nothing about programming, otherwise I would put some work into this (and automate my own strategies).
