GbpUsd - will the downtrend line reverse this upmove

There is no doubt about it the us$ has been pummelled this week. At some point there has to be a slow down in the this beating and we can get back to fundamentals i.e tapering might be stopping. The euro is so close to the 3415 which if overcome introduces a whole new dynamic and a possible solid downrewnd for the us$.

GbpUsd put in a solid showing today and touched the downtrend line as shown on the chart. The question is will it keep on going? At the moment price is overbought and is due a pullback and a breather from this relentless upside drive. A speculative sell close to the line on any sign of weakness might prove profitable with low risk.

Been following you behind the scenes for a while now. Really like your blog too! Spot on analysis on the USD/JPY. I was in a short position at 96.60 when I came across your chart this morning. Closed it with a nice 20 pip scalp.

Guys the US$ lost it this week and almost all thecharts I have been looking at on the weekly have been against the US$. Somehow I think this week will be an odd one. I confess I am a dollar bull but it took a 'pounding' this week. Mind you, Bernanke and I are not brothers and therefore I will not hesitate to sell the US$ when the opportunity arises.
