the expected fall I was trying to highlight is even more dramatic on your long term chart. There is almost no serious structure between here and 8000.


About coffee I have been thinking the same but I think we could still see 100 before its all said and done and we get that rally to maybe150. Will keep an eye out

just an observation. See how the long term cad futures chart so looks like the long term gold chart before the big fall. It is all about pattern recognition. If what happened in gold happened in the cad futures. Look below out below

Hi Olu,

A couple of Weekly composites to look at. I am still in my USD/JPY trade with several addons and building some serious Equity Heat. My Stop is now well clear and even with a draw down I should be good for plenty of nice, happy pips.

I have been so focused on my UJ trade that I did not pay attention to EU and GU.But now I see a couple of nice HA Turning Candles which line up with RSI crossing 50 on the W1 TF. I am waiting for a better entry, but in general I have avoided these two because they are too choppy for my method.

The Aussie-Yen crosses continue to evolve with several possible Turning Candles, BUT way to remote from RSI 50 just yet. IMHO, they need to ripen for a few more weeks.

Thanks for your post. I like the way you look at the weeklies for an overview. Well done on the uj trade. I have not given up o the idea of a massive drop in usdjpy but if it is to happen it must happen soon. I get what you mean when you said you were too focused on uj not to see what was going on in the euro and gbpusd. It happens to me too. The number of trades I have missed because I was intently stalking an optimum entry in something else. Stop orders is the way forward for me on that one.

I, like you think this upmove in the $ counterparts is just a better opportunity to short them. Hope we make loads of pips

FXCM $ index: Is the$ retracing now? What I do not like here is the economical release of the US this week is expected to be positive.

I am with you Olu, The UJ shall soon drop. But I am not sure if it will be just a retrace or a reverse. time will tell.

The US$ is on fire right now rehab. The dollar index shows a bulish reversal candle right at the top of the charts. very strange indeed. Tomorrow is a big day and it will probably decide the direction of the dollar for the next month or so

it was just the tip of the iceberg when you posted. Then we had the avalanche afterwards. This is just plain jawboning. Bernanke wanted to slow down the reaction to his 'tapering' speech. I still think the writing is on the wall for QE

We bounced in the chart but I would not like to see a close below the low on the chart as that would bad for the $ index some more. When a 'retracement' doesnt stop then its a new trend

Hi Olu,

A very ugly day, but no real surprise as Bernanke is between the proverbial rock and a hard place. I seriously doubt that he is going to tighten significantly before his term ends. The Bond markets are way too unhappy right now. Not good for his legacy. Let the next guy/gal deal with it.

Meanwhile my Hedge kicked in to preserve 60% of my Equity Heat even tho my Centipede had 20 of his legs chopped off.

He tells me that all he needs is a bit of rest to regenerate more - hope so, AG
