Hi Savager, you can try my EA that has the option to trade the MACD strategy. I have an option to close all trades on opposite signal. Thanks the Tall One , will check it out.
I was thinking more along the lines of adding to the Third Screen Strategy EA program the instruction not to take trades in the prevailing trend direction when RSI exceeds say 63 or 65 or something like that. I am sure a programmer can enhance the EA with such a function without a big deal. This will depend on 100Pips who is the owner of the EA. Make no mistake this is an excellent strategy and I am sure the EA can be of great assistance in ones trading as it is. but thanks for your suggestion. Go well.

Hi Erebus,

I am using the 3rd screen Ea but it has taken no trades and the green and red arrow do not show in the top left hand corner to show which direction the trend is in and no yellow x for no direction. the ea is active for trading , can you please help to get this ea started.

A very late reply I know.

I'm new to FF, but have been following the "Third Screen Strategy" as a guest for the last few weeks.

I believe the difference in your daily charts as shown in your post has to do with one broker offering the daily charts based on "5 day NY close" while the other broker is offering the standard 6 day candle pattern. I'm assuming the charts are from different brokers.

Out of interest as the MACD is derived from the daily chart it will be slightly different for each broker.
This could make slight difference on how the EA behaves between different brokers, but I'm not sure if this would be statistically significant?

Must be in the settings somewhere, check the Common tab of the EA

How many pairs do you have this on?

Can you make a manual trade?

Some brokers you have to activate live account, or they do not allow EA; is it live or demo?

Does it work with other broker?

Wild guess, but maybe corrupted EA download, delete it ans start over?

Hi Erebus thank you for trying to help. tha settings inthe current tab are the same.

the Ea is on 12 pairs. yes i can manual trade I have tried it on 2 brokers live and demo . I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it from the 1st post of 100 pips.

my feeling is it is the ea , as i have been using the 20/50 ea with no trouble at all.

Erebus , I ve blown out my account thru bad M M and should have close all on Wed night of FOMC before take woman to hospital , But any way i will start again next week with T S S , So please could you explain to me how to work out ATR into S/L and T/ P , Thanks , Malcolm .

Make sure that all files keep their original names.
The (6) in the top right of your chart makes me doubt you cared.
See post one for the right names.

I believe that he has solved HIS problem; see 100_pips threads in the Commercial Section

Trading takes 3 basic skills: computer, chart reading and ability to tell time

How some people even find this forum is beyond me sometimes (pun intended)

Thanks for all the help, Ive been a lurker thru all the 100 pip related threads, and have read all of them with great enjoyment, and think its all great.
I have a question which I havent found asked yet.
Playing aroun with the settings for 1.4 with 6 or 7 platforms and was baffled to see this.
aud/jpy opened 4 positions and then closed all of them at a similar price, not sure why.

Have you seen this before or can explain it?

That's easy, you overlooked the Profit % Take Profit settings

Is you account balance about 4,585 at the time of closing?

Hi Erbus

Thank you for your help and I really do try to avoid dumb questions, I like to lurk on FF and would prefer to hunt down the answer with out asking.
My first thought was % profit close but with many other trades still open and the balance is not right.
Ive used the basket close setting before with success and never noticed the lines all pointing to multiple trades like in this image i have shown.
No big probs if its a one off.
This is why Im pumping out a lot of settings and platforms to find which settings and system I like.

See, this is how it goes; you never provided all that information in the post post did you?

You must have another EA running on that chart alone, there is nothing else that does that.

I did post the CloseAtProfit EA somewhere, it works exactly like that, didn't happen to play with that did you?

If you can't find out what did it, better to check your template and reapply it to that chart at the very least, to prevent it from happening again.

From what I have read & understand about the khaled EA, it does need the MACD3SS in the indicator folder to be able to use it for readings, therefore if you change the numbers, then yes it it will affect the buy & sell entry.

If you are that capable & confident about reading & changing the code in an indicator, why not read the code if the EA to understand what it does?

Or send PM to khaled if there are changes that you must absolutely have.

The TCO Trader EA has many options also; it may already do what you want to achieve.

Hi Everybody,
Showing honour to several many requests I have done some updates to the TSS D1 MACD EA.

Delay hour has been updated as desired and Trailing Stop Loss feature has been added for comfortable trading.

Everybody Happy Now?

Make sure you see V 1.3 at the upper right corner of your MT4 chart. The MACD3SS has been attached again as it is an obvious part of this EA. Place this MACD3SS to your /expert/indicators folder.

@Erebus : Feel free to update your thread with this update.

#1. do you have a copy of the turtle channel indicator? I was looking for this on the first page but did not see it posted there.

#2. do you still trade the method using this?

Go to this thread, the EA is much better and has Turtle option, I have it running on demo as many do
